The method is based on two- stage quasi-sliding scheme of modulation and allows to provide: a) pure algebraic representation of laws of voltage modulation for high-performance systems; b) continuous synchronous and symmetrical variation of voltage waveform of inverter during the whole control range, and c) simple linear control in the zone of overmodulation. Computational simplicity and effectiveness characterize these DSP-oriented algorithms of digital modulation. Thermal performance of greenhouse with on-ground heat accumulator and movable internal heat reflectors, and of greenhouse with under-ground accumulator and movable heat (roof-based) reflectors, has been analyzed. Metering of solar irradiation, and temperature and humidity inside greenhouses, has been executed for different seasons and regimes. Conclusions regarding basic peculiarities of operation of two topologies of greenhouses have been formulated.

Set of control and modulation functions includes in this case specialized equations connecting coefficients of modulation of inverters and amplitudes of dc-voltages. Algorithms of the developed space-vector modulation insure symmetry of basic voltages of split-phase installation with required power sharing for any frequency ratio between the switching frequency and fundamental frequency of each converter of installation with four diode-clamped inverters, supplied by dc sources with both equal and unequal dc-voltages. The proposed control and modulation concepts have been verified by numerical simulations.

The induction machine of this system topology has two sets of windings spatially shifted by 60 electrical degrees with isolated neutral points, which are connected with two standard three-phase inverters. Algorithms of synchronized PWM provide continuous synchronization of the phase voltage of the system in the zone of overmodulation. Simulation results are given for dual three-phase systems with two discontinuous versions of synchronized PWM and with combined synchronized scheme of pulsewidth modulation.

In this case inverter-side winding voltage of double-delta-winding system has quarter-wave symmetry, and its spectra do not contain even harmonics and undesirable subharmonics. Simulation results show behavior of system with two neutral-clamped inverters controlled by three basic versions of synchronous multi-zone modulation. References 9, figures 5, table.

It provides smooth pulses-ratio changing and a quarter-wave symmetry of the voltage waveforms during the whole control range including overmodulation. Continuous, discontinuous and "direct-direct" schemes of synchronous PWM with both algebraic and trigonometric control functions have been analysed and compared. Simulations give the behaviour of the proposed methods and show some advantages of synchronous PWM in comparison with asynchronous at low ratios between the switching frequency and fundamental frequency.

The proposed method provides synchronisation of the voltage waveforms for both each module and the composed voltage at the output of the converter. Multilevel output voltage of the converter has quarter-wave symmetry during the whole range including the zone of overmodulation. Both continuous and discontinuous versions of synchronous PWM, based on a vector approach for determination of the pulse patterns, have been analysed and compared using simulations of the systems with low switching frequencies, which normally are used in high power systems.

Both standard two-level inverters and NPC converters, supplied by the corresponding strings of PV panels, can be used in these system topologies. Accent in this paper has been done on overview of alternative methods of synchronous multi-zone space-vector modulation (based on non-classical approach for calculation of parameters of pulse control signals) for inverters of PV installations, the use of which assure symmetrical voltage waveforms (and elimination of subharmonics in its spectra) at the outputs of inverters for any control modes and regimes of operation of photovoltaic systems.

Detailed modeling of processes in systems with basic versions of control algorithms has been done. It has been shown, that value of weighted total harmonic distortion factor of the phase voltage of controlled ac electric drive system with four three-level inverter is up to 60-95% lower than for a similar system based on two inverters. The use of algorithms of discontinuous synchronous modulation assure lower (up to 15%) value weighted total harmonic distortion factor of the phase voltage in comparison with the corresponding integral spectral characteristics of the phase voltage of system, controlled by algorithms of direct synchronous modulations.

Method of synchronous space-vector modulation, based on direct representation of pulse patterns o... more Method of synchronous space-vector modulation, based on direct representation of pulse patterns of voltage source inverters as function of the fundamental and switching frequencies of inverters, has been applied for adjustment of both standard three-phase inverters and diode-clamped inverters of a modular converter consisting of three voltage source inverters and multi-winding transformer. Scheme of synchronous modulation is based in this case on concept of multi-zone control, which includes continuous determination of boundary frequencies between control sub-zones (on the axis of the fundamental frequency of installation), and on alternative control correlations for determination of the pulse patterns. Systems controlled by some basic versions of synchronous pulsewidth modulation (PWM) have been investigated. The analyzed control and modulation strategies have been verified by numerical simulations.

This purpose has been achieved due to including in the control and modulation scheme of specialized control correlations connecting coefficients of modulation of inverters, required power ratio between dclinks, and voltages of the corresponding dc sources. So, basic novelty of this research is in the fact, that the elaborated and investigated control and modulation algorithms for installation on the base of inverters with discontinuous space-vector modulation (with both 300 -non-switching intervals and 600 - non-switching intervals) insure both required power sharing capability between dc links and advanced harmonic composition (without even harmonics and subharmonics) of spectra of the phase and line v...

Algorithms of synchronized pulsewidth modulation (PWM) are based in this case on continuous control of switching frequencies of two inverters as function of magnitudes of the DC-links voltage.
