The results of the numerical simulation of the spatio-temporal chaotic dynamics are presented. It was shown that Gunn device might exhibit a low-dimensional chaotic behavior having the slow evolution throughout a long transient from one to another clumped state.

It is shown that nonlinear dynamics of GaAs with Gunn effect has a certain similarity to the oscillatory behavior of some biological systems and structures, which have an inherent oscillatory character. We discuss the obtained new results, which prove that its utilization may be useful in modelling and investigations of biological oscillations and rhythms

Research paper thumbnail of Biological properties of water exposed to GSM-1800 EM radiation, passed through a polyethylene film

International Crimean Conference Microwave and Telecommunication Technology, Nov 3, 2011

The number of shoots decreased considerably and they were worse developed. In comparison with this result the exposed water, wrapped by thin (40 µm) four-layered polyethylene film (PF) influenced the number of shoots and their growth positively. It is supposed that the PF action is similar to its well-known action to the fast neutrons passage. It can be assumed that little-known quantum properties of the EM radiation together with the supplementing properties of water are responsible for the non-thermal biological effects.

It was found that a borderline of bioinformation field surrounding plants (10-70 cm from a flower) transforms into bioinformation radiation, which is spread far beyond the detected border.

Research paper thumbnail of Magnetic fields induce exclusion zones in water

Hydrophilic materials immersed in aqueous solutions show near-surface zones that exclude suspende... more Hydrophilic materials immersed in aqueous solutions show near-surface zones that exclude suspended colloids and dissolved molecules. These exclusion zones (EZs) can extend for tens to hundreds of micrometers from hydrophilic surfaces and show physicochemical properties that differ from bulk water. Here we report that exposure of standard aqueous microsphere suspensions to static magnetic fields creates similar microsphere-free zones adjacent to magnetic poles. The EZs build next to both north and south poles; and they build whether the microspheres are of polystyrene or carboxylate composition. EZ formation is accompanied by ordered motions of microspheres, creating dense zones some distance from the magnetic poles and leaving microsphere-free zones adjacent to the magnet. EZ size was larger next to the north pole than the south pole. The difference was statistically significant when polystyrene microspheres were used, although not when carboxylate microspheres were used. In many wa...

The number of shoots decreased considerably and they were worse developed. The results obtained were being compared with a development of wheat grains grown without the passive antenna. The increase of the pH level of the spring bottled water following exposure to the passive antenna has been established. It can be assumed that little-known quantum properties of the EM radiation together with the supplementing properties of water are responsible for the obtained non-thermal biological effects.

Research paper thumbnail of Water-SARS-CoV-2 Interaction-Based Mechanism Inhibiting Virus Attachment to Host Cells

Many studies showed that the enveloped viruses, including coronaviruses, HIV-1, and influenza ina... more Many studies showed that the enveloped viruses, including coronaviruses, HIV-1, and influenza inactivate significantly faster in water than the non-enveloped viruses. It looks that there is a certain mechanism controlling this phenomenon. However, the epidemic spread of SARS-CoV-2 indicates that this virus – water interaction mechanism is not effective enough to fully inhibit coronavirus reproduction. We hypothesized that a spatially extended layer of the ordered water molecules, formed around CoV due to the spike’s glycans – surrounding water interaction acts as a buffer inhibiting CoV motion and its attachment to the host cell receptor. There is experimental evidence that water molecules while interacting with glucans experience the long-range ordering and repulsive forces. Our findings revealed new features that can promote its interaction. It was shown that the glycans and water molecules have the same far ultraviolet (UV) absorbance peak at ~185 nm. This peak is a manifestation...

We investigated the effects of unipolar magnetic fields (N or S polarity) on the physical propert... more We investigated the effects of unipolar magnetic fields (N or S polarity) on the physical properties of deionized water. Long-term experiments revealed significant pole-dependent changes in water absorption in the UV range (180 – 350 nm). In the case of water in open vessels, the order of absorption values was C-N-S. That is, control (C) water absorbed the most, N-pole-influenced water absorbed less, and S pole the least. The differences in absorption between N and S waters were substantial. In the case of closed vessels, the differences in absorption spectra substantially diminished, and the arrangement of the absorption values became C-S-N (highest to lowest). A correlation between UV absorption values and evaporation rates was also found. The relative order of evaporation rates, C-N-S (highest to lowest), was the same as the order of the absorption values, also C-N-S. The differences in UV absorption spectra of the N- and S-treated waters persisted for several months after removi...

Research paper thumbnail of Effect of Unipolar Magnetic Field on Macroscopic Properties of Distilled Water

International Journal of Pharma Medicine and Biological Sciences, 2017

Differences in biophysical properties of water (pH, temperature, evaporation and bioactivity) aff... more Differences in biophysical properties of water (pH, temperature, evaporation and bioactivity) affected by the north and south polarity magnetic field are studied. The magnetic field (MF) is produced by a ring-shaped permanent magnet. The intensities of the MF at the extremities from the center are in the range of 45-65 mT. Petri dish (PD) containing distilled water was left on the surface of this magnet (N or S pole) for a long period of time (up to 70 hours). It is shown that the changes in pH and in amount of evaporated water have the opposite character for different poles of the magnet in comparison with water in the control PD. It is found that the MF decreases the water evaporation and pH in case of the south polarity MF and increases the amount of evaporated water and pH if the north polarity MF is applied. The temperature of the distilled water treated by the MF gets higher (0.4-0.8 °C) in comparison with the water in the control PD. 
