The present study refers to a plane circular plate, provided with equidistant radial ribs, placed... more The present study refers to a plane circular plate, provided with equidistant radial ribs, placed on one side (fig. 1), these having the same geometry of the cross section (thickness and height) along their entire length (fig.2). There is a change in the position of the neutral fiber of the ribbed plate and also in its bending rigidity, along the radius of the plate, in different cases.

The working conditions of the composite materials used to produce machine parts lead to different... more The working conditions of the composite materials used to produce machine parts lead to different forms of wear. The fact that, for example, for a a kinematic coupling with sliding motion is often used a material with higher hardness (cast iron, steel) in combination with a material with a lower hardness (a composite material) there is the possibility of wear through abrasion and local plastic deformations. The paper proposes an analytical model for the determination of wear, depending on the angle of inclination of the roughness of the hard surface. The experimental wear investigations were made on cast iron disc (300HB hardness) at room temperature using a "pin on disc" machine, at and contact pressure and sliding speed. The composite consisted from cast and heat treated AlSi12CuMgNi and AlZn6MgCu matrix reinforced with Al2O3 and Graphite combined in different proportion, in the 0-5 volume percent range. The experimental results of the wear for the different materials are analyzed and compared to the analytical ones. The comparison of the experimental and the theoretical results confirms the veracity of the model and corresponds with many of the experimental results obtained in the specialized works.

This opens in the case of frictional couples with sliding motion, due to the low sliding speeds. Intermittent slip introduces vibrational phenomena and influences the uniformity of movement and the state of the surface of the couples due to their use. In this respect, the concerns related to the study of this phenomenon represent an interest in the machine building industry. The paper aims to achieve an original theoretical model for calculating the static and kinetic friction coefficients and its experimental verification on a stick-slip stand. The proposed theoretical model establishes the calculation relations of the static and kinetic friction coefficient and the connection between them taking into account the surface processing method. The necessity of studying and doing theoretical and applicable research in the metal micro- powde... more The necessity of studying and doing theoretical and applicable research in the metal micro- powders is motivated by the major importance of knowing their classification and characteristics, the attainment and investigative methods, the types of controlling the processes so as to achieve them and the areas based on their use. There are known various methods to form and realize the parts and products, respectively the subassemblies and assemblies of metal powders within conventional processing methods, characterized by less economical and performing parameters. Therefore, this paper aims to present the main modern technologies for rapid prototyping, analyzing different metal micro-powders, directions, technical and technological trends, as well as micro-elements, micro-parts and products ranging from high-tech category obtained by these technologies.

Using appropriate equipment, oxy-hydrogen is produced by water electrolysis and immediately transmitted to the engine. The introduction of hydrogen into the combustion chamber increases the efficiency of the combustion process and, therefore, reduces the fuel consumption and the polluting emissions, increasing the power and performance of the engine.

In this paper is presented a comparative study regarding the synthesis of hydroxyapatite powders.... more In this paper is presented a comparative study regarding the synthesis of hydroxyapatite powders. The chosen method of synthesis of this biomaterial was chemical co-precipitation. The structure, size and morphology of the obtained powders were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy - FTIR, dynamic light diffusion DLS tehnique and scanning electron microscopy-SEM. The results obtained were compared with those obtained on a commercial hydroxyapatite powder. Investigation methods have confirmed the synthesis of a high purity hydroxyapatite with a optimal degree of crystallization and crystallinity for the reconstruction and regeneration of hard tissue.

In this paper, optimum hot formation processing parameters for 31VMn12 steel were established, th... more In this paper, optimum hot formation processing parameters for 31VMn12 steel were established, the torsion deformation of 31VMn12 steel was investigated at temperatures from 900, 1000, 11000C and strain rates from 0.05 s-1 to 3 s. -1. There were studied the structural aspects of materials, in microstructures by electronic microscopy. The stress level decreases with increasing deformation temperature and decreasing strain rate, which can be represented by a Zenner-Hollomon parameter. The mathematical model presented in the paper describes the relationship of tension strain, voltage and temperature coefficient 31VMn12 steel at high temperatures. The stress-strain curves determined by the torsion test allowed the calculation of the Zenner-Hollomon parameter corresponding to the maximum stress. By using this parameter has established a set of equations that reproduce completely stress-strain curve, including the hardening, the restoration and dynamic recrystallization area. Comparisons ...
