Suites of signatures from wireline logs and seismic cube was employed to gain more insights into the complexities of the hydrocarbon hosting units within the prospects in the X-field Niger Delta. Horizons and fault interpretation were carried out to produce a subsurface structure map.
Characterization and evaluation of (oil and gas) reservoirs is typically achieved using a combination of seismic and well data and due to the technological breakthrough of seismic Explorations, scientists has been able to explain the subsurface of the Earth.
The use of the laws of Reflection and Refraction as used by Geologists and Geophysicists to explore the Earth and this has led to the exploitation and exploration of minerals within the subsurface such as Hydrocarbons which are refined and used as fuel for machines and vehicles.
This report gives an overview of seismic data acquisition, processing and Interpretation. It also takes a look at the Geology of Niger Delta, Stratigraphy, Formation (Petrophysics), Logs/logs interpretation and uses.
