The study developed a methodological model of education based on the principles of intercultural pedagogy and comparative method of teaching in two languages, which, with a methodically sound and appropriate organization of the educational process, will contribute to the effective teaching of Russian to children with Russian roots in a limited language environment, the harmonization of bilingual personality, the formation of this category of students a positive attitude to the country of origin. The authors reveal the key provision that the learning process must take into account the ethno-psychological characteristics of people from different cultures, which determine the ethnocultural specificity of system of relations of media culture to reality. Ethno-psychological features are manifested in perceptual, communicative and interactive aspects of intercultural communication in the perception, understanding and evaluation of reality, national value orientations and behavioral strategies. The article describes ways to face the regression of the first Russian language in a bilingual ch... more The article describes ways to face the regression of the first Russian language in a bilingual child`s speech. In the article considers the possibility of overcoming attrition in hereditary carriers by means of complex linguo-didactic diagnostics. Diagnostic data, as shown by the results of experimental training, can discern gaps and fill them in the course of bilingual education. Generally, metalinguistic skills are important in teaching bilingual children, which make it easy to transfer formed ideas from one language to another. This was previously well studied in the interaction of languages on an intercultural basis. Since the cognitive sphere is highly important in teaching a bilingual child, linguo-didactic diagnostics used in the learning process can be used as a tool for achieving educational results, language coordination, and a method of overcoming regression. Scientists ambiguously interpret the concept of bilingualism. The most common definition of bilingualism is that a bilingual is a person who speaks two languages equally. In the Pedagogical terminological dictionary bilingualism is "equally perfect possession of two languages". Multilingualism is defined more broadly as "the use of several languages within a certain social community (primarily the state); the use by an individual (group of people) of several languages, each of which is chosen in accordance with a specific communicative situation."
