A study was conducted to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by female employees in e... more A study was conducted to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by female employees in education institutions and how well the female employees can manage their professional life and personal life. Research is steered at one of the University in Sultanate of Oman. It is a descriptive study conducted to find the opinions of female employees towards work life balance at University in Oman. The population of the proposed research include all female teaching staff of the University (population is 83) by including all the departments (BSD, ELC, Engineering and IT). The sample size is 68 with (95% confidence level). To know the intentions and opinions of female employees a structured questionnaire is administered for collecting primary data. Stratified proportionate convenient sampling method is used to collect data from female teaching employees of the University. Parametric test ANOVA is used for analysis. Flow of credit to agriculture plays a critical role in agriculture production in the country and hence in maintaining momentum of growth of this sector. Credit is one of the critical inputs for agriculture development. The flow of credit to the agriculture sector and rural areas is met through intuitional agencies like commercial banks, regional rural banks and cooperative credit institutions. The short term, medium term and long term needs of the farming in rural community met by their credit institutions. The cooperative banks have played a dominant role in proving credit needy. The insurance sector is very significant to every developing country. It develops the habit of sa... more The insurance sector is very significant to every developing country. It develops the habit of savings which, in turn, generates long-term investible funds for improving infrastructural facilities. The nature of insurance business ensures constant inflow of funds and challenges such as unprecedented volatility, changing customer profiles and existing regulators. Despite the challenges ahead, opportunities for growth can be anticipated by horizontal global expansion. The insurance premium in India accounted for a mere 2% of GDP as against the world average of 7.8% and G-7 average is 9.25 during 90’s. The insurance premium as a percentage of savings in India is 5.95% as compared to 52.5% in UK (IRDA, 2005).

The objective of this study is to evaluate the customer satisfaction in the retail banking sector... more The objective of this study is to evaluate the customer satisfaction in the retail banking sector in Hyderabad. It is an exploratory study conducted to find out the most important attributes of service quality in retail banks, which can be used to evaluate the characteristics of banking service quality as perceived by customers. A sample of 160 retail banking customers was drawn from the ICICI Bank in Hyderabad. The questionnaire developed for this study was based on a SERVQUAL model that identified the influence of five dimensions (i.e. tangibility, responsibility, reliability, assurance and empathy) in banking service environments on customer satisfaction. The results indicate that the five SERVQUAL dimensions have a positive influence on customer satisfaction. Reliability, Tangibility, Empathy and Responsiveness were more significant in contributing to customer satisfaction, while Assurance was given less preference.
