Uniquely constructed technical solution of solar energy collector is presented in this paper. It ... more Uniquely constructed technical solution of solar energy collector is presented in this paper. It presents a great breakthrough in the field of energy efficiency and successful exploitation of renewable energy sources. Principle of this high-temperature energy storage enables the energy accumulated from the sun to be yielded when necessary and continuously, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Furthermore this paper is containing a modeling of sun irradiance, generated energy intensity for flat solar panel and for Prof. Petrovic concentrator. Modeling is made with genetic programming and it is found out that genetic programming is suitable method for modeling of energy intensity. It offers results which are within acceptable tolerances while maintaining ease of use and short computational time. Genetic programming yielded results of 12,97%, 14,6% and 9,25% average percent error for irradiance, flat solar panel and Prof. Petrovic solar concentrator respectively.
In a coking process, coal to be coked is preheated in a cascaded whirling bed drier into which th... more In a coking process, coal to be coked is preheated in a cascaded whirling bed drier into which the coal is charged from above and exposed to an indirect heat transfer while whirling in a coal-stream mixture. Hot gas applied to the heating pipes in respective cascades of the drier is branched off from the total amount of hot gases discharged from a dry cooler in which hot coke from the coke oven is cooled by recirculating cooler gas constituted by a partial gas stream discharged from the cascades of the drier and reunited with the other partial stream subject to a heat exchange for generating steam. Steam from the whirling beds is discharged from the cascaded drier, separated from the entrained dust particles, and then the excessive steam is drained in a branch conduit and the remaining steam is compressed and reintroduced into the lowermost whirling bed in the drier.

Zur Durchffihrung endothermer Reaktionen zwischen Gas und Feststoff in einer Wirbelschicht wercle... more Zur Durchffihrung endothermer Reaktionen zwischen Gas und Feststoff in einer Wirbelschicht werclen hi~ufig Rohrbfindel zur Wfirmefibertragung eingebaut. Es wird eine wirtschaftliche Bewertung yon Biindeln aus runden Rohren nach wiirmetechnischen Gesichtspunkten vorgenommen. Innerhalb des Projektes ,,Prototypanlage Nukleare Prozeflwfirme-PNP" arbeitet die Bergbau-Forschung gemeinsam mit anderen Firmen an einem Kohlevergasungsverfahren, in dem die W~rme aus Hochtemperaturkernreaktoren (HTR) genutzt wird. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die W(trmeiibertragung yon einem Heizrohr an eine gasdurchstr6mte Wirbelschicht untersucht, deren Kenntnis fiir die Verwirklichung der allothermen Wasserdampfvergasung wichtig ist. Im einzelnen werden theoretische und experimentelle Untersuchungen zur Aufklfirung des Mechanismus des Wiirmeiibergangs yore Heizrohr an die Wirbelschicht beim Vergasungsprozefl durchgefiihrt.

In order to preserve the quality of treated coking coal, the drying and preheating operation is p... more In order to preserve the quality of treated coking coal, the drying and preheating operation is performed in consecutive stages. For this purpose, a set of superimposed containers is provided with vertically oriented pipes for a heating medium, the pipes in each container having separate inlets and outlets. The bottom region of each container is further provided with horizontally directed pipes having separate inlet and outlet for receiving a pressure medium which is discharged into the bottom region of each container to produce a whirling bed of the coal. In this manner, the coal is preliminarily dried in the uppermost container, then additionally dried and preheated in the intermediate container, and heated to the desired final temperature in the lowermost container.

This research investigates the performance of an adaptive controller for five-bar linkage robot. ... more This research investigates the performance of an adaptive controller for five-bar linkage robot. The proposed controller was entirely independent on the physical specifications of the robot. The controller was examined as the dynamics of the mechanical system varies for various environment conditions, which make it an ambiguous system. In this study, the introduced controller was designed based on the governing ideal Euler-Lagrange equations on the robot but assessed using the on-line dynamic simulation of the mechanism for different target configurations which guarantees the high performance and effectiveness of the designed controller.
