In connection with the development of technology of mobile terminals (cell phones, smartphones, t... more In connection with the development of technology of mobile terminals (cell phones, smartphones, tablets, computers with wireless modems, etc.) in the standards of UMTS (3G) and LTE (4G) great attention of manufacturers of these devices is concentrating on the modernization and development of antenna systems of mobile stations (terminals). Currently, antenna systems of mobile stations is implementing on base of technology in form of complex configuration microstrip transmission lines, which ensure compliance with the requirements of modern wireless communication standards. Adaptive antenna arrays and MIMO antenna systems are implemented in mobile terminals for road and railway transport, which allow to achieve a sustainable reception of signals from the base stations. Вопрос обеспечения равномерного радиопокрытия зон обслуживания и связанной с этим высокой надежно... more Вопрос обеспечения равномерного радиопокрытия зон обслуживания и связанной с этим высокой надежности систем мобильной радиосвязи в стандартах 3G и 4G требует большого внимания при проектировании сотовых сетей мобильной связи. Основной задачей на первом этапе проектирования является математическое моделирование распространения радиоволн в условиях влияния окружающей среды. В работе представлена классификация математических моделей распространения радиоволн в системах сотовой мобильной связи, приводится алгоритм расчета мощности радиосигнала в точке приема в зависимости от расстояния между мобильной и базовой станцией, указаны факторы и условия среды, влияющие на распространение радиоволн.

in the 3G and 4G standards requires a lot of attention upon designing cellular mobile networks. One of the main tasks at
the first stage of the designing is the mathematical modeling of radio wave propagation under the influence of environment.
This work provides classification of mathematical models of radio wave propagation in cellular mobile communication
systems, the algorithm of calculating radio signal strength at the receiving point depending on the distance between the mobile
and the base stations as well as factors and conditions affecting radio wave propagation are specified.
