In the Balkan region and in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the energy consumption in re... more In the Balkan region and in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the energy consumption in relation to gross domestic product is huge. The Republic of Serbia consumes two to three times more energy than the gross domestic product, compared with the average in the European Union. At the beginning of 2013, on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, will be announced the Law on rational use of energy, which is currently in draft form. Adoption of the Law is a step in Serbia's accession to the EU, because the Law will basically have taken a European directive on energy effi ciency. In order to determine the extent to which the concept of energy effi ciency is presented in the formal and informal education, as well as knowledge of this area in general, the survey was done. This paper describes a results of survey that was done with the aim of gaining information about education in the fi eld of energy effi ciency in formal and informal education systems in Serbia, as well as how much are the citizens familiar with the term. This paper shows the questionnaire which was distributed to the respondents. For easily and quickly collecting the necessary data, it was used the on-line questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed as a web application. The survey was conducted on a sample of 200 respondents, from September to December 2012. After the structure of the respondents, the results of research and analysis are presented in this paper, with one proposed research in future.

The aim of this paper is to assess the current state of municipal solid waste management (MSWM) i... more The aim of this paper is to assess the current state of municipal solid waste management (MSWM) in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, by analyzing a legal framework, quantities of generated waste, collection systems, transportation, final disposal, separate collection of recyclables, and waste minimization incentives. The analysis is mostly based on the available data of Public Utility Company "Gradska čistoća", the only provider of municipal solid waste (MSW) services, i.e., collection, transportation, and disposal. Key features, problems and goals of MSWM system in Belgrade are discussed, and the efficiency of the existing separate collection system of recyclables is reviewed. Finally, some further guidelines are given in order to assure a paradigm shift in the next period.

Because of the dramatic successes in manufacturing, there is rising interest among companies in the pharmaceutical industry, which choose to implement LEAN in order to accomplish such goals as decreased wait time to release product to the market, reduce production waste, improve communication with end users and raize quality level both in the production and in testing laboratories. In this article, basics of LEAN and Six Sigma are presented and suggestion was given for application of their concepts in pharmaceutical industry together with harmonization with legal regulation represented by requirements Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) , in order to work "smarter", more costeffectively and avoid wasting time and other resources.

The Traffic Safety Agency, among other things, alone or in cooperation with others, regulates, controls and implements the system of homologation, testing and control of conformity of vehicles, equipment and parts. It authorizes and supervises other organizations for vehicle control and testing. The role of standardization in this process is dual: first - it refers to the subject of testing - vehicles, and second - to the quality of testing - authorized organizations. The paper discusses the important provisions of regulations for vehicle testing and analyzes the impact of the standards ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 on the work of authorized organizations. The part of the "safe vehicle" pillar is technical vehicle ispection, where parameters important for road safety are periodically checked. The aim of this work is to determine the quality of the measurement data and the ability to repeat measurements of some parameters during technical vehicle inspection, or more precisely, to determine whether measured data of turning wheel resistance and brakes ovality differ depending on the inspection place. The research is done by inspecting ten vehicles at five inspection places with different levels of resources use. The results show that the spread of measured data of turning wheel resistance is statistically significant and that it depends on the inspection place, as well as that measured data of turning wheels resistance significantly vary between inspection places. Akreditacija laboratorije predstavlja potvrdu kompetentnosti laboratorije. Osnovni cilj jeste obe... more Akreditacija laboratorije predstavlja potvrdu kompetentnosti laboratorije. Osnovni cilj jeste obezbeđenje poverenja korisnika usluga laboratorijskih ispitivanja u tačnost i preciznost rezultata. Opstanak laboratorije na tržištu, bez obzira da li je ona u potpunosti nezavisna ili je deo većeg poslovnog sistema, u značajnoj meri zavisi od upravljanja resursima, pri čemu je od posebnog značaja efektivno upravljanje troškovima. U radu je prezentiran način obračuna troškova prema unapređenoj verziji obračuna troškova na osnovu aktivnosti-ABC (Activity-Based Costing), koji je afirmisan kao metoda obračuna troškova po aktivnostima zasnovana na vremenu-TD ABC (Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing). Navedena metoda je primenjena u Laboratoriji za fizičko-hemijska ispitivanja u Galenika Fitofarmaciji a.d. u kojoj se sprovode ispitivanja pesticidnih materija (tehničkih materija i gotovih proizvoda). Primenom navedenih metoda moguće je utvrditi realne troškove koji nastaju pri pružanja usluge laboratorijskog ispitivanja, ali i efikasnost pojedinačnih aktivnosti u tom procesu.

za proizvodnju medicinskih sredstava i jednog materijala (Polietilen NG granulat) za proizvodnju ... more za proizvodnju medicinskih sredstava i jednog materijala (Polietilen NG granulat) za proizvodnju boca za infuzione rastvore. Jedna varijanta metode zasniva se na direktnom kontaktu polaznog materijala sa svinjskom krvlju, a druga na dobijanju ekstrakta polaznog materijala autoklaviranjem i kontaktu tako dobijenog ekstrakta sa svinjskom krvlju. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata zaključeno je da svi materijali zadovoljavaju kriterijume prihvatljivosti i to u slučaju obe varijante metode ispitivanja, kao i da metoda direktnog kontakta ima veću osetljivost od metode u kojoj su korišćeni ekstrakti ovih materijala.

In this paper a method for isolation and purification of the pertussis toxin from the cell cultur... more In this paper a method for isolation and purification of the pertussis toxin from the cell culture of Bordetella pertussis was presented. Pertussis toxin production was enhanced with the optimization of the microbiological media and cultivation time. Relatively high degree of purification of 80,39% and yield of 56% was resulted by the unique combination of the protein isolation and purification methods. Using immunoelectrophoresis and high performance liquid chromatography, in comparison with pertussis toxin WHO standard, it was verified that the protein isolated is indeed pertussis toxin. The conclusion of this paper is that this unique combination of the different techniques along with the specific modifications implemented would give good results in pertussis toxin isolation and purification on laboratory level, while scaling up of this methodology could be the objective of future research. Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) being a legal regulation in developed countries will b... more Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) being a legal regulation in developed countries will become a legal regulation in Republic of Serbia starting with March 2010. In this paper comparative analysis between requirements of standard ISO/IEC 17025 and requirements of cEU GMP is shown. Considering the fact that in Republic of Serbia no pharmaceutical industry laboratory has been accredited according to requirements of ISO/IEC 17025, while keeping in mind that more than 90% of these laboratories have not fulfilled cEU GMP requirements, this paper aimed at pointing to the possibility of fulfilling both of mentioned requirements at the same time, which would open the way to different types of interlaboratory cooperation for pharmaceutical quality control laboratories and contribute to improving competitiveness of pharmaceutical companies.
