In today's highly competitive environment, this paper will help managements to get the best from their employees and will increase more commitment effectiveness and can also reflect their inner values and provide opportunities for development. Empower the employees to bring about a transformational change in their personal and professional lives in the organization. It will enable the Leaders to become Masters of Change and be active role models in organizations. Generally, this would create a competitive advantage for the organization by having a competent workforce and sound workplace. The methodology adopted was the review of literature based on past researches, on the motivational factors, organizational commitment and organizational effectiveness. This study is expected to help organizations and also academics towards having an insight on how to successfully run a business in an organization whether public or private. It's now known as proven by research that motivated employees are satisfied and will increase their inputs to the highest level, and they will also contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Financial markets play important roles for economic growth as they facilitate the flow of resourc... more Financial markets play important roles for economic growth as they facilitate the flow of resources to the most productive investment opportunities and help in terms of efficient allocation of credit in the economy. Recognizing the important roles of stock market on economic growth, prudential international institutions such as World Bank, IMF and ADB pursued stock market development programs for emerging markets in developing nations. Hence, this study sought to investigate the determinants of development in capital markets in the MENA region from the perspective of three countries Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. Secondary data for the ten years period of 1992-2012 were used to model the factors influencing the development of their stock markets. Using Correlation analysis it has been revealed that, macroeconomic factors such as exchange rate, oil rent, income per capita, inflation, domestic savings and interest rate can be used to study development capital markets. The analysis also reported significant relationship between stock market development and some variables for some countries and irrelevant to others. The variations in results are explained by the economic and legal environment in every country and show some policy options. The findings are interesting in the sense that they provide variations of the determinants of the stock market development in the region. This would open area for research that is concerned with enhancing the collective development of the stock markets in the region through complementary and synergies.

This empirical paper has examined the motivational factors subtracted from Herzberg's Two-Factors... more This empirical paper has examined the motivational factors subtracted from Herzberg's Two-Factors Theory towards Citizenship Performance for employees categorized into Generation X and Generation Y. A sample of 124 respondents from two market leading electric and electronic manufacturing companies in Malaysia was invited into this research. Seven Motivation and Hygiene Factors that adduced in this research are Achievement, Recognition, Work Itself, Promotion, Company Policy and Administration, Pay and Benefit, and Work Condition; while Citizenship Performance is measured by 15 items scale of Organization Citizenship Behaviour that combine all causations as one unit of variable. Findings of this study have presented the directions of motivational factors towards Citizenship Performance for Generation X and Generation Y.

The board of directors is acknowledged as one of the most important internal corporate governance... more The board of directors is acknowledged as one of the most important internal corporate governance structure. This paper reports a qualitative study on the characteristics of an effective board perceived by the Malaysian corporate leaders. The results are derived from semi structured interviews with 41 directors of top 100 Malaysian Public Listed Companies (PLCs). Four characteristics of an effective discovered in this study which comprise the board that has; (1) the right memberships, (2) the right culture; (3) clear roles and responsibilities; and (4) the right structures. This paper concludes that the behavioural aspect of the board in particular, the membership and culture of the board are found to be the most important components of an effective board. This has implication for those seeking to expand further research in corporate governance area. Finally, this paper provides a basis for characteristics of an effective board that can be applied by the Malaysian corporate governance regulators and policy-makers in enhancing Malaysian corporate governance policies.

Quantitative approach with self-administered questionnaire method has been employed for data collection of this study. A total number of 124 respondents based on Cluster sampling were participated in this research. This study revealed that both generations X and Y showing some differences in their Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation factors. It is recommended that organizations should modulate their operations and procedures to properly satisfy two distinct groups of generations.

The relevant literature available suggests important links between entrepreneurship education, new venture creation and students entrepreneurial performance. Available data indicated that higher institutions students entrepreneurial competencies required for new business venture formation can be effectively influenced by entrepreneurship educators‟ performance. Therefore, this paper reviews past and recent studies to examine the role of entrepreneurship educators in enhancing students‟ entrepreneurial competencies. Despite the attention paid to the importance of organizational culture in Malaysia, most studies have not provided consistent evidences. This is partially due to its complexity and the difficulties in defaming and measuring organizational culture. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the relationship between organizational culture and financial performance of top Malaysian companies. In doing so, structured questionnaire which consisted of four parts of Hofstede’ culture dimensions (power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism and masculinity) were employed. The performance is measured by Return of Assets (ROA) and Earning per Share (EPS) obtained from 2009 annual reports of top 100 Malaysian Public Listed Companies. Since much of literatures and empirical evidence have supported the variance for generation’s preferences over Motivation and further promote package customizations to better fit in the two generations, however, it should be aware that the factor of Organizational Justice may still infect the final outcome. Well understanding in variables of Generational issues and Motivation theories may still not enough to improve employees’ productivity, as motivation packages they receive for or from their contributions will pass thru social interactions where comparisons are made for their sense of equity. This variable, in turn will conclude the favourability of the motivation packages, hence determine the corresponding performance.
This study examines the relationship between corporate governance and firm performance for a samp... more This study examines the relationship between corporate governance and firm performance for a sample of 813 listed companies representing nine sectors of the main board of Bursa Malaysia from 2009 to 2011. Three corporate governance components used in this study are proportion of non-executive directors (NED), board leadership structure, and board size. Firm performance is measured in terms of firm earnings per share (EPS) and return on equity (ROE). The study discovered the influence of the three corporate governance measurements on both dimensions of firm performance from years 2009 to 2011 are mixed. The influence of corporate governance on the financial performance of Malaysian listed companies similar to previous studies in Malaysia or in other countries. It can be concluded that although various corporate governance reform has been undertaking in Malaysia since year 2000, the reform has not much effect on financial performance.

This paper discuss findings from various countries and industries have found contrariwise with the theory, where Extrinsic Factors that should only turn up with job dissatisfactions or neutralize feelings towards jobs have indeed effected respondents’ job satisfactions. The conclusion has presented a motion to combine the two groups of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors as one set of determinants. The remodelling of Two-Factors Theory should be used to determine employees’ job satisfaction factors in order to maximize their job performance.

This paper review the conventional setting of Herzberg Two-Factors Theory and compare with curren... more This paper review the conventional setting of Herzberg Two-Factors Theory and compare with current research finding that implemented the theory. This paper discuss findings from various countries and industries have found contrariwise with the theory, where Extrinsic Factors that should only turn up with job dissatisfactions or neutralize feelings towards jobs have indeed effected respondents’ job satisfactions. The conclusion has presented a motion to combine the two groups of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors as one set of determinants. The remodelling of Two-Factors Theory should be used to determine employees’ job satisfaction factors in order to maximize their job performance.
