Through numerical analysis of morphological and chemical (leaf flavonoids and volatile oils) data four taxa are recognised, subsp. exalata, subsp. revoluta Paul G.Wilson, subsp. magnifolia Gebert subsp. nov. and subsp. obcordata Gebert subsp. nov. Descriptions and a key to all taxa are provided.
