The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid o... more The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and pruning and its interaction on the growth and yield of melon plants on dry land. The experiment used a two-factor factorial randomized block design, namely: Application of NPK + Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) (b0 = 100% NPK without POC; b1 = 50% NPK + Bio-Extrem POC; b2 = 50% NPK + Organox POC) ; and Pruning (p0 = No Pruning, p1 = Pruning by maintaining 2 main branches). The results showed that pruning had a significant effect on the percentage of class C fruit quality, while fertilization treatment had no significant effect on all observed parameters. The interaction of the combination of fertilization and pruning had no significant effect on the growth and yield of melons, however, the combination of fertilizing with pruning was able to avoid fruit weight <1 kg (class C fruit quality). Respiratory illnesses are common complication during the evolution of the disease in HIV-infected... more Respiratory illnesses are common complication during the evolution of the disease in HIV-infected patients, mainly of infectious aetiology. Pneumocystis Pneumonia (PCP) is currently the most frequent cause of pulmonary infections in HIV patients, followed by bacterial pneumonia and TB. In this case report involves a 28 years-old male patient with HIV infection presented to the hospital with progressive dyspnoea, fever, non-productive cough and weight loss. Physical examination showed a decreased of oxygen saturation, oral thrush, and respiratory crackles in both lungs. The results of chest x-ray examination suggested a picture of pneumonia. The sputum was examined with Xpert MTB-RIF Assay and the results were negative. This patient was treated with cotrimoxazole in 2 double-strength (DS) tablets three times daily, dual therapy antibiotics combination with a beta-lactam and macrolide, oral fluconazole, also adjuvant corticosteroid of methylprednisolone. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar shooting bola basket pada... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar shooting bola basket pada siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Sawan tahun pelajaran 2013/2014”. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Sawan yang berjumlah 32 orang terdiri dari 10 orang siswa putra dan 22 orang siswa putri. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data pada siklus I aktivitas belajar shooting bola basket secara klasikal sebesar 7,63 (aktif), dan pada siklus II sebesar 8,93 (aktif). Dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 1,3. Sedangkan persentase hasil belajar shooting bola basket secara klasikal pada siklus I sebesar 71,76% (cukup baik), dan pada siklus II sebesar 90,48% (sangat baik). The researcher employed classroom action research which was conducted within two Cycles in which each Cycle comprised planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Four instruments consisting of observation sheet, field notes, interview, and test were used to collect the data in Cycle 1. Five instruments consisting of observation sheet, field notes, interview, test, and questionnaire were used to collect the data in Cycle 2. The findings of the students’ academic atmosphere from observation and field note described the students’ learning interaction. The categories of Cognitive process dimension consist of six including remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create; and, of Knowledge dimension consist of four including factual, conceptual, procedural, and meta-cognitive. Salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang dapat digunakan sebagai energi alternatif adalah energi ... more Salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang dapat digunakan sebagai energi alternatif adalah energi matahari. Teknologi sel surya generasi ke-3 adalah Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) yang dapat mengonversi sinar matahari menjadi listrik. Daun ungu merupakan daun yang tersebar di Indonesia yang juga merupakan daun yang ekonomis. Pada penelitian ini ekstrak pucuk daun ungu digunakan sebagai pewarna sensitizer yang diekstraksi dengan alkohol 96% dengan rasio campuran 20 gram pucuk daun ungu yang telah ditumbuk hingga halus dengan alkohol 50 ml, kemudian dilakukan perendaman dengan variasi perendaman 12, 24, dan 36 jam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu perendaman terhadap tegangan yang dihasilkan oleh DSSC. Hasil arus tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi perendaman 36 jam sebesar 0,8 µA. Perendaman selama 12 jam sebesar 0,6 µA dan perendaman 24 jam sebesar 0,7 µA.
