Data quality for Cancer Registries has been reviewed in this paper using four main criteria (comparability, validity, timeliness, and completeness). Medline (via PubMed), Scopus, and Web of Science databases were searched for relevant English articles published from inception until December 2022. Each study was analyzed for its characteristics, measurement method, and data quality features. According to the present study, the majority of articles evaluated the completeness feature, and the fewest evaluated the timeliness feature. A completeness rate of 36% to 99.3% and a timeliness rate of 9% to 98.5% were observed. Standardizing metrics and reporting of data quality is necessary to maintain confidence in the usefulness of cancer registries.

This is an applied research and has been performed using scientometric methods. Article titles, the number of citations, "Usage count last 180 days", "Usage count since 2013", publication year, and authors of 583 hot papers in clinical medicine were extracted from the WoS database. Then, the readership and citation counts of articles were extracted from ResearchGate social network. The data were analyzed by descriptive and analytical statistics using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 21. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the number of received citations, both usage counts in WoS and ResearchGate indicators (P value ≤ 0.01). Selfarchiving in scientific social networking sites such as ResearchGate may be effective on visibility of articles that may also be related to their received citations.

This is an applied research and was conducted using Scientometric and Altmetrics indicators. The required data was collected from SCI and ResearchGate. SPSS version 16 was used to analyze the collected data. All articles by Iranian researchers indexed in SCI by the end of May 2015 (245578 articles) were chosen. From among these articles, 909 articles introduced as "Top Papers". This collection of articles was cited 77710 times. Rate coverage of articles in ResearchGate was 99.6%. In addition, 99.5% of the articles indexed in ResearchGate were viewed at least once. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between variables of view, download and citation number of the articles in ResearchGate and citation number of the articles in SCI were positive and significant. The results showed also that network coverage and counts of view and downloads in ResearchGate were excellent. Increased number of views of articles in ResearchGate increased the number of citations of papers too. The results showed the significant effect of ResearchGate in increased visibility of scientific works. Therefore, scholars can use Scientific Social Networking Sites as a means of "self-archiving" and as a tool of "Finding information". This Social Network can also be used as a criterion for scientific-research evaluation of academics and scholars in science policy-making.
