The meaning and purpose of the divine word becomes clear from the knowledge of stopping and starting while its recital. From the study of the Qur'an, it is known that there is a difference between the scholars of tafsir in the places of waqf and initiation. The reason for this difference may be a difference in interpretation, a difference in reading, and the possibility of error cannot be ruled out. In this paper, the author has made a comparative analysis of the symbols of waqf in relation to waqf and initiation, which are present in the copies of the holy Qurán published by King Fahd Qur'an Complex (Madinah Munawarah) and the symbols of waqf that are in the copies of the holy Qurán published in the subcontinent. Following the method of Induction, specific places in the two published copies of the holy Qur'an where there is agreement on waqf and initiation and also places where there is disagreement in both Mus'hafs, have been determined. At the end of the paper some recommendations are also given on this comparative review.

Relationship between moral injury and resilience was explored in addition to finding the difference in study variables based on socio-demographics factors. Methods: This cross-sectional research was carried out from August 2020 to January 2021. A sample of 108 healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff was collected through purposive sampling technique. Data was gathered through face-to-face survey method and online forum using psychometrically sound tools. Results: Findings revealed that more than two third of the sample (69.44%) has high level of moral injury which is clinically significant while only 30.56% fall within normal range. Moral injury has significant positive correlation with number of work hours (p < .05) whereas negative correlation with resilience (p < .01) and years of experience (p < .05). Women and health care professionals belonging to psychiatry department have reported to experience significantly high level of moral injury (p < .01). Conclusion: The findings of the study are helpful for stakeholders of health care system to better understand and prepare for the situations that brings moral injury and challenge psychological resilience particularly in times of pandemic, humanitarian crisis, or natural disasters.

In this paper the most appropriate Learning Strategy of Arabic Language is suggested. The course outlines for Arabic language are thoroughly studied and several professors and experts of Arabic Language from Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Sudan are interviewed. The author, who himself has vast experience in teaching Arabic language, also had the opportunity to sit in the Arabic language classes to observe various strategies and methodologies adopted by different professors while teaching Arabic. In this paper the time spent on teaching Arabic to the students is also discussed. The appropriate size of the class room i.e., the number of students in Arabic language class also matters in improving the quality of Arabic among the students. The...

The means of communication have improved so much that it leaves no doubt that we are now in that particular age about which the Prophet (SAW) said: ‘Islam will enter each and every house of the world, either by honoring or humiliating its dwellers’. It will honor those who will be ready to welcome it, and it will humiliate the rest. This powerful re-appearance of Islam will be in the form of coming of Imam Mahdi. The Sunnites and Shiites both strongly believe in his coming. Now the question is whether we are ready to welcome him or not? There are apparently some differences found in the Sunnites and Shiites narrations regarding Imam Mahdi. What are those differences? Are those differences genuine or artificial? This paper will look into the primary sources of Sunnites and Shiites, collect the authentic Ahadith and sayings of the Imams (Four from Sunnite Jurisprudence an...

By using inductive, descriptive and analytical methods the author will try to derive these rights from the holy Qur'an and authentic Sunnah and then give suggestions to the government servants in the light of the divine texts.

Research paper thumbnail of Functional characterisation of an intron retaining K(+) transporter of barley reveals intron-mediated alternate splicing

Here, functional characterisation of the K(+) transporter, HvHKT2;1, with stably retained introns from barley (Hordeum vulgare) in yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), and transcript profiling in yeast and transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) is presented. Expression of intron-retaining HvHKT2;1 cDNA (HvHKT2;1-i) in trk1, trk2 yeast strain defective in K(+) uptake restored growth in medium containing hygromycin in the presence of different concentrations of K(+) and mediated hypersensitivity to Na(+) . HvHKT2;1-i produces multiple transcripts via alternate splicing of two regular introns and three exons in different compositions. HKT isoforms with retained introns and exon skipping variants were detected in relative expression analysis of (i) HvHKT2;1-i in barley under native conditions, (ii) in transgenic ...

The former elevates the financial level of its members by helping them circulate wealth amongst the whole society, while the latter concentrates wealth amongst the rich. Using the descriptive and deductive methods and evidence from the Qur’ān and the Prophetic traditions, the paper argues that those who pay zakāh are not left with the promise of reward in the hereafter alone, rather they are blessed with the abundance of wealth in this world also. Conversely, those who are involved in ribā-based transactions are punished in this world before being punished in the hereafter.
