This study aims to compare and see the differences between foreign Islamic bank and non-foreign I... more This study aims to compare and see the differences between foreign Islamic bank and non-foreign Islamic bank using method RGEC (Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital). This study examines the comparison in business and social performance of four foreign Islamic banks and six non-foreign Islamic banks. The collection of data in this study was done by collecting all the annual reports of banks that has been created as a sample over the period 2011-2015.The test result of the Independent Samples T-test and Mann Whitney Test showed there was no differences in the business performance of foreign Islamic banks exchange with Non-foreign Islamic Bank exchange as seen from the aspect of Risk profile (FDR), GCG, and Earnings (ROA). While there were differences of business and social performance as seen from Earnings (ROE), capital (CAR), and Sharia Conformity Indicator (PSR and ZR) aspects.

The foremost purpose of the present study is to analyze the impact of credit quality, strong tie ... more The foremost purpose of the present study is to analyze the impact of credit quality, strong tie and bridge tie on the performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia. The goal of the current study also shows the investigation of the mediating role of supply chain management among the links of credit quality, strong tie, bridge tie and performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia. The data has been obtained by using the questionnaire method and smart-PLS has been executed for analysis. The results revealed that credit quality and strong tie has positively linked with the performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia. The results also exposed that supply chain management positively mediating among the links of credit quality, strong tie, bridge tie and performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia. These findings provided suitable grounds to the new studies who want to investigate this area in future along with the policymakers who develop the policies related to the supply chain and firm performance.

Di tengah tengah persaingan perbankan, masyarakat (nasabah) dapat menilai atau memilih bank yang ... more Di tengah tengah persaingan perbankan, masyarakat (nasabah) dapat menilai atau memilih bank yang cocok sebagai tempat menyimpan uang maupun meminta pinjaman. Hal ini bisa dilakukan dengan melihat kinerja fungsi bisnis bank tersebut. Selain itu sebagai bank yang berlandaskan prinsip islami, masyarakat juga dapat menilai kinerja fungsi sosial bank tersebut apakah sudah sesuai dengan prinsip prinsip syariah yang berlaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kinerja bank syariah devisa yang dibandinkan dengan kinerja bank syariah non devisa periode 2011-2015. Dalam menganalisis kinerja bank syariah, penelitian ini menggunakan metode RGEC yang meliputi Risk Profile (FDR), GCG, Earning (ROA dan ROE), dan Capital (CAR), dan Shariah Conformity Indicator yang meliputi Profit sharing ratio (PSR) dan zakat ratio (ZR). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dan uji beda menggunakan Independent t-test/Mann Whitney test. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pada bank syariah non devisa dan bank syariah devisa terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada fungsi bisnis dari rasio ROE dan CAR. Namun tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada rasio FDR, GCG, dan ROA. Sedangkan kinerja fungsi sosial, baik ZR maupun PSR, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan.

The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of low back pain (LBP) in industrial... more The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of low back pain (LBP) in industrial workers, check for possible LBP related risk factors and investigate the associations between physical activity and severity of low back pain. METHODS: We conducted a cross-sectional study among 430 workers of an industrial company over the previous 12 months. The industrial workers were given questionnaires and assigned to two groups: (1) with low back pain, (2) without low back pain. Group 1 was then divided into three subgroups according to the answer to question (a) LBP without irradiation, called mild cases, (b) LBP with irradiation above the knee, called moderate cases, LBP with the irradiation below the knee, called severe cases. RESULTS: LBP was found in 61.6% of workers. The prevalence of LBP was signifi cantly associated with physical activity (p = 0.03). There was a signifi cant difference between frequent physical activity and severity of LBP (p = 0.01). Work-related physical factors showed strong associations with LBP. The main risk factors for low back pain among production workers were extreme trunk fl exion (OR = 3.5, 95% CI 1.7-7.3), as well as lifting of loads (OR = 3.5, 95% CI 1.9-6.2), pushing or pulling heavy loads (OR = 3.5, 95% CI 1.9-6.2) and exposure to whole body vibration (OR = 1.7, 95% CI 1.0-3.0). CONCLUSION: Daily life conditions, job-related factors are associated with the occurrence of low back pain. These results suggest that individuals with LBP should avoid nonspecifi c physical activities to reduce pain and improve psychological health.
