Research paper thumbnail of Auction System for Agricultural Trade Using Blockchain Technology: A Survey with Proposed Framework

2021 IEEE Pune Section International Conference (PuneCon)

Agri-trade involves the buying and selling of products that have been produced through farming industries. Online auction is defined as a process where the buyers and sellers can come on an integrated platform and are allowed to bid in a fixed time frame. Decentralized Blockchain-based e-auction system increases auction security and efficiency and transforms the auction process by eliminating intermediaries. With centralized auction, where websites or platforms gather bids and calculate auction outcomes, it is difficult to build confidence among sellers, buyers, and auctioneers. This system lacks transparency, anonymity, and hence prove to be untrustworthy. So, a broad architecture for decentralized auctions that are used to track and trace bids to execute the transactions safely and securely between the seller and the buyers without the involvement of untrusted third parties, is needed. In this work, we give a complete overview of auction systems using blockchain technology. Then the work uses solidity-based smart contracts deployed on Ethereum test network for executing decentralized, privacy preserving auction system. This system enhances the efficiency and safety of trade and supply of agricultural products and is referred to as an Agro auction system using Blockchain. This work opens opportunities for future research to build a complete end-to-end solution for agricultural auction.

In this work, we describe an experimental and numerical investigation of liquid circulation induced by a bubble plume in a tank partitioned by a baffle. The baffle divides the tank into two compartments. Liquid can flow from one compartment to the other through openings at the top and the bottom of the baffle. Gas (air) was injected in the riser section in the form of bubbles at one corner of the tank. The temporal and spatial variation of velocity field in the liquid as a function of the gas flow rate was measured using particle image velocimetry (PIV). At a constant gas flow rate, the liquid flow field is unsteady due to the interaction with the bubbles. The time scales associated with the velocity-time series and the bubble plume thickness variation were calculated. The time averaged-velocity field was used to quantify the variation of the liquid circulation rate with gas flow rate. The turbulence in the liquid was measured in terms of turbulent intensities. These were calculated from the experimental data and were observed to be less than 3 cm/s. A 2-d Euler-Euler two-fluid model with buoyancy and drag as the interaction terms was used to simulate the flow. The parameters chosen for the simulations were selected from literature. It is shown that inclusion of turbulence model such as kis necessary to capture the overall flow behavior. Good agreement was observed between experimentally obtained velocity profiles and the recirculation rates with the simulation results.

Study Design: Comparative cross-sectional research study.Place and Duration: Research was completed from October, 2011 to March, 2013 in the various children institutes of Lahore dealing with the children having autism.Method: These children were diagnosed autism in the institutes that cater the special requirements of the children; various children were included in the research after they meet the criteria. Siblings with counterparts were evaluated for self-concept and the assessment of the mothers was carried out in the perspective of psychological well-being.Results: Research observed that typical children sibling self-concept was poorer in comparison to the normal children siblings in terms of autism. Children’s mothers with autism were more depressed in comparison to...
