The present paper actualizes the issue of graphic interpretation of the artistic text of Russian ... more The present paper actualizes the issue of graphic interpretation of the artistic text of Russian classics by German graphic artists. The study analyzes the specifics of artistic and imaginative thinking in the German tradition of book illustration by the example of illustrations for publications of Russian classics in the first half of the twentieth century. In particular, the paper examines graphic cycles of German expressionist artists of the 1920s, dedicated to the works of N. V. Gogol and F. M. Dostoevsky, as well as illustrations of Russian classical literature created by German artists who emigrated from Germany in the 1930s. The authors note that the style of German book illustration remained influenced by expressionism even in the post-war period, regardless of the cultural context, as evidenced, for example, by the works of graphic artists in the German Democratic Republic. Current article reviews the problem of developing the class assignments for the elementary school... more Current article reviews the problem of developing the class assignments for the elementary school student in the conditions of historical and modern education. It defines requirements for the assignment as a component of a learning activity of an elementary school student. The special emphasis is placed on the quality of class assignments and their multifunctionality that provides complex solutions to the different tasks related to the formation of anticipated results, especially of the metadisciplinary nature. The author substantiates the specifications and the organization of the educational assignment in the elementary school Russian Language class that allow elementary school students to form cognitive, regulative and communicative universal learning activities, as well as supplies rationale for the compilation of the effective language material that helps teacher to form linguistic items in elementary school students while maintaining increased awareness level.

The research aims to study the iconography of the image of Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky in Sovie... more The research aims to study the iconography of the image of Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky in Soviet book graphics. The scientific novelty lies in choosing the illustrations of the literary monument of Ancient Russia “The Life of Alexander Nevsky”, made by Soviet graphic artists in the technique of engraving, as research material, as well as in studying the theoretical principles of the art of engraving used in these illustrations, developed by V. A. Favorsky. As a result of the research, the authors come to the conclusion that the continuity of Russian and Soviet cultures is credibly manifested in the images of Prince Alexander Nevsky, which is a great merit of the art theorist, artist, engraver V. A. Favorsky.
