Recently, significant roles have been assigned to window displays actualized with multiple design... more Recently, significant roles have been assigned to window displays actualized with multiple design and application methods used to attract customers to the store by both employers and designers. These visual communication design items are planned as applications to perform customer attraction, while they are realized as social communication tools and aesthetic utilities. Therefore, window displays can be designed in the appearance of an art gallery, thus attracting attention and creating catchy influences among window display samples. Thanks to their characteristics based on indicator usage, which are ever-growing in parallel with developing technology and changing design approaches in this context; window displays, transformed into an artistic display space with featured approaches, have also become an area of influence and reaction, which could lead to it changing the behavior of the target audience while walking the course of life. It has become significant to identify the problems by researching the subject to raise the window display applications, affecting life both in terms of function and – both social and individual – aesthetics to higher quality levels, develop solution suggestions for the identified problems, and realize qualified window display designs in this context. This research sought to be lean in the context of scientific principles and has been limited to the scrutiny of season-themed window display illustrations in terms of visual semiotics. The study, the significance of which has been outlined above, is carried out with qualitative research methods; the identified problems and suggestions for the related solutions are presented in the conclusion section.

Geleneksel habercilikte yaşanan tek taraflı iletim süreci-internet haberciliği ile birlikte-iki t... more Geleneksel habercilikte yaşanan tek taraflı iletim süreci-internet haberciliği ile birlikte-iki taraflı bir iletişim biçim ve biçemine dönüşmüştür. 2000'li yıllardan itibaren internet ve diğer dijital teknolojilerin habercilik alanında kullanılmasıyla birlikte farklı habercilik uygulamaları ortaya çıkarken; haberin ve bilgilerin sık güncellendiği, hızla değiştiği ve yoğun bilgi bombardımanına maruz kalındığı bu dönemde-haber kuruluşları-okuyucuları ile farklı yaklaşımlarla iletişim kurmaya çalışmışlardır. Zamanla, gelişen teknolojik olanaklar ve bu bağlamda değişen haber tüketim eğilimlerine koşut olarak, çeşitli çoklu ortam platformlarında da haber sunumları söz konusu olmaya başlamıştır. Etkileşimlilik ve habere yorum yapabilme özellikleri sayesinde okuyucularına farklı deneyimleme olanakları sunan söz konusu haber platformları, haber içeriğindeki karmaşık bilgi ve verileri hızlı ve anlaşılır bir şekilde iletmek ve de haberin görsel öyküsünü aktarabilmek için; durağan, devinimli ve etkileşimli infografik tasarım uygulamalarıyla sunma yoluna gitmiştir. Kullanıcı deneyimine dayalı etkileşimli infografik haberler sayesinde; okuyucu, pasif haber tüketiciliğinden aktif haber yararlanıcısına dönüşülebilmekte ve daha çok bilgiye ulaşılabilmektedir. Nitel araştırma bağlamında betimleme yöntemleriyle gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada;-gelişen web teknolojilerinin haber tüketim eğilimlerine etkisi bağlamında-kullanıcı deneyimine dayalı etkileşimli infografik habercilik üzerinde durulmaktadır. Etkileşimli infografik haberlerin biçim, içerik ve sunum biçemleri yönünden ele alındığı çalışmada; söz konusu uygulamaların verimlilikleri, durağan haberlerden farkları ve grafiksel nitelikleri irdelenerek öneminin ortaya konması amaçlanmaktadır.

Character designs can be used in animated cinema, comics, graphic novels, animation, advertisemen... more Character designs can be used in animated cinema, comics, graphic novels, animation, advertisements, book illustrations, mascots, game graphics, toys, etc. It is one of the important graphic design applications encountered in many visual fields. Therefore, the designed characters must be visual indicators that are qualified, original, memorable, impressive and compatible with the content they reflect. In character development studies, the designed character's colors, anatomical features, gestures, facial expressions, clothes, characteristic qualities that distinguish him from those around him, etc. features are the influencing elements and principles that must be taken into account for the design to be distinctive. One of the important principles and elements of visual communication design, “impact” is one of the main guides used to strengthen the expression and make it distinctive, especially in character designs. It is very important to apply visual effects "effects" that will attract attention based on the prominent features of the characters, to create impacts on the audience and / or receptive masses. In this study, which was prepared with qualitative research methods, it is aimed to examine the visual character applications in the context of "effect", one of the graphic design principles and elements, to identify the problems and to develop suggestions for the solution of these problems. Therefore, following the use of the visual effect principle and element, which has an important place in the graphical character development process; The subject is defined and its importance is revealed, descriptive problems based on the form-content relationship encountered in design and practice are determined based on the applied characters, the causes of the identified problems are examined and suggestions are made for their solution. The analyzed characters consist of various animated movie images (figures) and concept designs. The investigations made, based on semiotic approaches such as "semantic", "syntactic" and "pragmatic" is carried out for visual effect applications in applied character descriptions.

Bu makalede, CSS kod kütüphanelerinin bir sonraki adımı olan CSS çatılarının (Framework) ortaya ç... more Bu makalede, CSS kod kütüphanelerinin bir sonraki adımı olan CSS çatılarının (Framework) ortaya çıkış, kullanım nedenleri ve web geliştirme süreçlerine olan etkileri incelenmektedir. Bir grafik tasarım ortamı ve ögesi olarak CSS çatıları hem bir bütün olarak hem de öğelerine ayrılarak irdelenmektedir. Öğeler ayrı ayrı özgünlük ve işlev bağlamında incelenmekle birlikte aynı zamanda grafik tasarım ilkeleri bağlamında da irdelenmektedir. Söz konusu ilkeler bütünlük, farklılık, vurgu, denge, düzen, alan, karşıtlık, tartım (ritim), tamamlayıcılık, devamlılık, oran/orantı vb. olarak belirlenmiştir. CSS çatılarını oluşturan ögeler ve birbirleri ile olan ilişkileri ilgili ilkeler bağlamında incelenmektedir. CSS çatılarının öğelere ayrılıp incelenmesinde özellikle CSS çatı öğelerinin tasarımını etkileyen kullanıcı deneyimi (UX) ile kullanılan teknolojilerin etkileri ve sınırlılıkları göz önünde bulundurulmaktadır. İncelemenin başka bir ölçüt olan işlevsellik açısından değerlendirmeler yapılırken özellikle kullanıcı deneyimi ve teknik özelliklerin etkileri üzerinde durulmaktadır. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda elde edilen verilerden hareketle web tasarımında nitelikli grafik etkiler elde etmek için CSS çatılarının önemi ortaya konmakta ve bu bağlamda önerilerde bulunulmaktadır.

However, being able to present powerful designs consisting of visual messages contextualized with an effective perception of balance and order is possible by utilizing scientific data. In this paper, information is given regarding the addressing of the issues of are mentioned briefly by referring to the information given; and the importance of the subject is emphasized with a proposed method of teaching lesson and by explaining the applications practiced in classes where this method is used.
