The actual amount of consumed products shows, that in diet of children there is more consumption ... more The actual amount of consumed products shows, that in diet of children there is more consumption of wheat bread (45%), excess amount of cereals, legumes, pasta (37.8%) and confectionery products (13.3%). At the same time there is a significant shortage of fruit (75%) and complete absence of rye bread in all the food rations. Percentage of Simple carbohydrates in the diet at all Children Educational Establishments is 1.9-2.1 times higher than recommended (20%). Analysis of seasonal dynamics of the content of mono and disaccharides showed that Food Rations at all Children Educational Establishments is lowest in winter (79,92 ± 1,73 mg / day) and highest in summer (88,32 ± 1,77 mg / day). Conclusions: 1. The content of simple carbohydrates in food rations at all Children Educational Establishments in Chernivtsi exceeds by 20% than recommended. 2. The content of mono and disaccharides in the diet is observed highest in summer and lowest in winter. 3. In order to correct the Food Ration, the intake of fresh fruits and vegetables should be increased, rye bread & bread from coarse flour should be included in the diet and should limit the consumption of pasta and confectionery.

The population of this research were 84 unit of SKPD. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling with total samples was 28 SKPD that represented by 100 respondents. The data collected by using closed questionnaire and data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results showed that the government internal control system, region managemet information system and human resources quality had significantly positive effect towards performane management of local government apparatus.

To expedite the acceptance of the usage of geopolymer concretes in the construction industry, further studies related to reinforcement corrosion are necessary. Among many important aspects of investigation is the carbonation in geopolymer concrete, which is different from that in OPC concrete. In this study, carbonation depths in geopolymer concrete, measured using two different indicators, in an accelerated environment, of a powder form of fly ash/slag based geopolymer concrete are compared. The influence of a set-retarder on the rate of carbonation has also been investigated.

Among available techniques of immobilisation of toxic elements in harmful by-products, geopolymerisation is considered as an effective approach to deal with many environmental issues. Geopolymer binders have long been recognised to have great potential in immobilisation of hazardous wastes due to its advantages over Portland cement based binders. A profound knowledge of how hazardous elements are immobilised by geopolymer binders is necessary for achieving effective waste management strategies. This paper provides some important aspects of geopolymer materials regarding the immobilisation mechanisms and factors influencing the immobilisation efficiency, which are necessary to carry out further research on addressing the hazardous waste immobilisation.

Elf-i is an Ets-related transcription factor that is expressed at high levels in T cells and is known to regulate the expression of several T cell genes, including the granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) gene, the interleukin-2 receptor alpha subunit (IL-2Ra) gene, and the CD4 gene. In the studies described in this report, we have characterized the pattern of expression of Elf-I in the developing mouse embryo and in adult mouse tissues as well as in multiple immortalized human and murine cell lines. Elf-I is expressed at high levels throughout thymocyte development, with equivalent levels of Elf-I expression seen in all subsets of maturing thymocytes and T cells. Somewhat surprisingly , however, Elf-I is also expressed at high levels in epithelial cells lining the oral cavity, the lung, the CNS, and the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts as well as in the skin of the developing mouse embryo and at lower levels in the adult mouse testis and liver. Westem blot analyses of a large number of immortalized cell lines demonstrated high-level Elf-i expression in T and B lymphocyte and macrophage cell lines as well as in two prostate carcinoma cell lines. Low-level expression was observed in fibroblasts, embryonic stem cells, and myoblasts. Taken together, our data suggest that in addition to its role in regulating T cell development and function, Elf-i may regulate gene expression in the B cell and myelomonocytic lineages, as well as in multiple epithelial cell types during murine embryonic development.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the implementation of a cluster randomised controlled trial of a group-based, peer support program to improve diabetes self-management and thereby, diabetes control in people with Type 2 Diabetes in Victoria, Australia. The intervention program was designed to address four key peer support functions i.e. 1) assistance in daily management, 2) social and emotional support, 3) regular linkage to clinical care, and 4) ongoing and sustained support to assist with the lifelong needs of diabetes self-care management. The intervention participants attended monthly group meetings facilitated by a trained peer leader for 12 months. The thermal conductivities of binary mixtures of polar gases, methyl chloride, and sulfur dioxide... more The thermal conductivities of binary mixtures of polar gases, methyl chloride, and sulfur dioxide have been measured over the temperature range 0°–200°C for various compositions by the hot‐wire method. The results have been utilized to test the recent theories of heat conductivity of polyatomic gas mixtures. It has been found that the experimental data are in good agreement with those calculated from the Hirschfelder–Eucken formula, provided the pure component thermal conductivities are assumed to be given by the corresponding experimental values.
