The study was conducted on the macrofungi specimens collected from Yavuzeli and Şehitkâmil distri... more The study was conducted on the macrofungi specimens collected from Yavuzeli and Şehitkâmil districts (Gaziantep-Turkey) between 2009-2014. As a result, 73 taxa belonging to 36 families and 57 genera in Ascomycota and Basidiomycota were identified. All of the taxa are new records for the districts while Cyclaneusma minus (Butin) DiCosmo, Peredo & Minter (Rhytismataceae Chevall.) is new record for Turkey.

This species is the fourth member of the genus Clavulinopsis Overeem in Turkey and characterized by its yellow and fasciculated fruit bodies, ellipsoid to subglobose or globose, one to multi-guttulate basidiospores with a distinct apiculus, and the presence of clamp connection at the base of basidia. The collected sample is described briefly and the photographs related to its macro and micromorphologies were provided

Dumontinia tuberosa was collected from the Eastern Black Sea Region while S. sicula was collected from Central Anatolian and Southeastern Anatolian Regions of Türkiye. Brief descriptions and new distribution localities of the species were provided together with the photographs of their macro and micromorphologies.

Though the history of macrofungal studies on Turkish macromycota goes back to almost 100 years an... more Though the history of macrofungal studies on Turkish macromycota goes back to almost 100 years and the number of them have increased particularly in the last 3 decades, the accumulated data presents about 2400 taxa. Compared to the 15.000 assumed macrofungi of Europe and the macrofungal diversity estimates of Mueller et al. regarding the plant/macrofungus ratios of temperate regions, there is still much to be done to obtain the overall macrofungal data of Turkey. To contribute to the macrofungal biodiversity of Turkey, this study was carried out, and a new coprinoid species, Leucocoprinus cepistipes (Sowerby) Pat. belonging to the family Agaricaceae, is given as new record for the macromycota of Turkey from Ardeşen district of Rize province. The taxon is desribed briafly and photographs related to its macro and micromorphologies are given.

Most of them are terrestrial and saprotrophic on soil, burnt ground, decaying wood, compost, or dung, but some form sheathing mycorrhiza with trees (Maia et al., 1996). Though some members form hypogeous ascomata, most species of Pezizales produce epigeous fruit bodies. The order is a large one and contains 1683 taxa within 16 families and 199 genera (

As a result of field and laboratory studies, 109 macromycete species belonging to four classes, 12 orders, 41 families and 64 genera within Ascomycota and Basidiomycota were determined. The species are presented in alphabetical order together with their habitats and localities.
