However, rarely has it been considered as a set of clear competencies or skills that can be taught and practiced. Objective: The purpose of this study was to provide a concept analysis of leadership competence in the context of clinical nursing leadership. Methods: The concept analysis process of Walker and Avant (2011) was used. A review of the literature was conducted using several databases, including PubMed, CINAHL, ProQuest, Ovid-Medline, ScienceDirect, etc. The databases were searched using the following terms 'nursing leadership', 'nursing' & 'leadership', 'nurse & 'leadership', 'competency', 'competence', 'skills', and 'leadership skills or competence' and for studies published fr...

Research paper thumbnail of Lexical Correspondence Between Malay and Vietnamese (Kesamaan Leksikal Antara Bahasa Melayu Dan Bahasa Vietnam)

Malay is one member of Western Indonesian language branch, sharing the same origin with Cham (mainland Austronesian language group). Meanwhile, Vietnamese belongs to Mon–Khmer language branch of Austro-Asiatic family, which distributes all over Vietnam around mainland Austro-Asiatic languages. There are currently two major ideas about the relation between Vietnamese and Malay: a) They have the same origin; b) They have contact with and borrow from each other. In general, Malay words corresponding to those in Vietnamese might be divided into two main categories: the first one is temporarily called “The inherent mutual base from the ancient time” and the second one is “The adoption of cultural word class in certain historical periods.” The loan words can be identified easily in terms of lexical semantics when absolute correspondence is found in ...

The model accurately considers the mutual coupling parameter βm which indicates the efficiency of the wavelength conversion. A simple relationship among extinction ratio, signal to noise ratio and the mutual coupling parameter βm is

Research paper thumbnail of Generalized extragradient iterative method for systems of variational inequalities

Based on the well-known extragradient method, viscosity approximation method and Mann iterative method, we propose and analyze a generalized extra-gradient iterative method for computing a common element. Under very mild assumptions, we obtain a strong convergence theorem for three sequences generated by the proposed method. Our proposed method is quite general and flexible and includes the iterative methods considered in the earlier and recent literature as special cases. Our result represents the modification, supplement, extension and improvement of some corresponding results in the references. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): Primary 49J40; Secondary 65K05; 47H09.

Strong convergence results are established. MSC:49J30, 47H09, 47J20.

(Nonlinear Anal. 75:2154-2165, 2012) introduced α-ψ-contractive mappings and proved some fixed point results for these mappings. More recently Salimi et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2013:151, 2013) modified the notion of α-ψ-contractive mappings and established certain fixed point theorems. Here, we continue to utilize these modified notions for single-valued Geraghty and Meir-Keeler-type contractions, as well as multi-valued contractive mappings. Presented theorems provide main results of Hussain et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2013:114, 2013), Karapinar et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2013:34, 2013) and Asl et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2012:212, 2012) as corollaries. Moreover, some examples are given here to illustrate the usability of the obtained results. MSC:46N40, 47H10, 54H25, 46T99.

Factor analyses of data obtained from 965 graduate and undergraduate students yielded a well-differentiated 11-factor solution of internally consistent and stable scores. The 57-item instrument distinguished between students with high and low stress and was unrelated to students’ perceptions of their physical health.

The model represents detailed interaction of agents to control their movement in any agent arena. A physical based microscopic agent simulation model has been developed. The developed microscopic agent simulation model is a physical force based model similar to the social force model with forward and repulsion forces as the main force driver. However, the detail of the model is somewhat customized with inputs of the model. The repulsive force is added to guarantee collision avoidance. The developed model also uses the physical based variables that can be measured. The collision avoidance algorithm is influenced by existing algorithm flock which uses the steering behaviour to animate birds. It was revealed that the microscopic swarm model studies have been successfully applied to explore to the behaviour of microscopic agents flow by showing influenced three forces. The research was extended to fractal characteristics that share the characteristics of the fractal formation and agent paths. It is clearly shown that fractal could be used to approach the emerging swarm behaviour as we have produced the result that has sharing characteristics with crowd microscopic model.

The structure of this novel compound was identified using modern sophisticated spectroscopic techniques such as HR-EI-MS, FAB, 1D, and 2D NMR spectral data and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The compound was confirmed to be 2-methyl-6-(4,4,10,13,14-pentamethyl-3-O-2,3,4,5,6,7,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,- 17-tetradecahydro-1H-cyclopenta[a]-phenanthren-17-yl)hept-2-enoic acid and named pistagremic acid, which has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
