Each prevention mechanism has some exclusive pros and cons over the others. In this paper, we have compared various defence mechanisms for preventing potential TCP SYN DDoS attacks. Router based TCP Intercept is found to provide the best defense while Anti DDoS Guardian gave the worst defese.

COVID-19 has changed how we live, and it changed the way we interact and socialize with other humans, it caused us to alter the way we communicate to keep ourselves and others safe. Furthermore, COVID-19 has affected the economy, and lead a good number of companies to lay-off some of their employees to recover from the economic crisis caused by this virus. On top of that, the health systems are struggling with the high number of people that were infected or would like to be tested, That is why it is critical to developing a more efficient and fast way to detect and treat this illness. This paper utilizes a technique called transfer learning to help in detecting normal, COVID-19, and viral pneumonia cases from a given set of Chest X-Ray images. Four pre-trained models on ImageNet were chosen as the base model, which are ResNet50, VGG19, DenseNet121, and InceptionV3. The performance metrics of each finetuned model are overall similar. With an average recall, precision, f1-score, and accuracy of 97.42%, 97.42%, 97.23%, 98.3% respectively.

These articles were submitted and subsequently published purportedly as an effort coordinated by Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University to ensure all medical interns publish at least one peer-reviewed article in order to qualify for enrollment in a postgraduate residency program as stipulated by The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). The journal has not been presented with enough evidence to warrant the formal retraction of these articles as both Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties have failed to respond to numerous communications requesting additional information regarding these allegations. While we acknowledge that the provenance of these articles is very much in question, we cannot act until these claims have been investigated by the appropriate institutions with the results of said investigation communicated to Cureus.

The primary goals of this study were to look into cardiac risk variables in datasets available on Kaggle. The data included 303 people, 138 of whom had cardiac disease and 165 of whom did not. Age, gender, chest pain, resting blood pressure, cholesterol level, fast blood sugar, electrocardiogram at rest, maximum heart rate during the stress test, angina during exercise, old peak, slope of the ST segment, result of the blood flow observed with radioactive dye, and number of main blood vessels colored by the radioactive dye were all included in the dataset. Descriptive analysis includes means and standard deviations for non-classified variables, as well as frequencies and percentages for categorized variables. The independent T test was used to assess the associations between variables. If 0.05, significance was considered. Except for cholesterol and rapid blood sugar, all of the variables listed above were found to ...

The most recent office-based BP reading was compared with the BP <140/90 mmHg objective of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (NG136) and European Society of Hypertension or European Society of Cardiology (ESH/ESC 2013) study participants. By benchmarking prescription doses for each drug with the World Health Organization-defined daily dosing (WHO-DDD) guidelines, optimal anti-hypertensive medication dosing was calculated. In 10 procedures, we found 328 patients with a prior stroke or TIA. When assessed against the ESH/ESC and NICE guidelines (63.1 percent, n=207), blood pressure was controlled in nearly two-thirds of patients. Of those with BP 140/90 (n=116), just under half (n=44, 47.3 percent) were sufficiently dosed ...

Robust analytical expressions were utilized to exploit the functionality of the proposed solutions and to show clearly the relation between the reactive power and control variables. The article, moreover, proposes a simple, innovative and robust analysis for static performance of the STATCOM. This approach shows clearly the advantages of the STA-TCOM in regulating reactive power and maintaining load voltage level within presumable limits. The approach, furthermore, reveals explicitly via analytical expressions the impact of the STATCOM operation on different aspects of the power system under concern.
