Reef Check merupakan sebuah organisasi yang didedikasikan untuk konservasi ekosistem terumbu kara... more Reef Check merupakan sebuah organisasi yang didedikasikan untuk konservasi ekosistem terumbu karang dengan menggunakan metode pemantauan ekosistem terumbu karang dan lingkungan. Data yang didapat berupa perhitungan penutupan jenis substrat, ikan, invertebrata, spesies langka dan dampak kerusakan. Invertebrata merupakan hewan bertulang belakang yang memiliki peranan penting dalam ekosistem terumbu karang. Data invertebrata yang diambil di lapang merupakan spesies ekonomis penting yang ada di Perairan Sendang Biru. Lokasi penelitian berada di wilayah Perairan Sendang Biru, Malang Selatan. Dilakukan pengambilan data di 4 stasiun pengamatan yakni, Teluk Semut 1, Teluk Semut 2, Fish Apartment, dan Watu Meja agar dapat dilakukan adanya perbandingan kelimpahan. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan metode transek sabuk sejauh 100 m pada 4 stasiun, dilakukan pengamatan dengan pola zigzag dengan 5 kali pengulangan. Hasil dari monitoring 4 stasiun ini terdapat 2 ekor invertebrata Diadema urchin pada stasiun Teluk Semut 1 dan Teluk Semut 2, 3 ekor invertebrata Pencil urchin pada stasiun 3Fish Apartment, dan 2 ekor Kima dengan besar 10-20 cm pada stasiun Fish Apartment dan Watu Meja. Ketiga spesies invertebrata diatas mewakili semua invertebrata yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian. Sedikitnya jumlah kelimpahan invertebrata yang ditemukan tersebut sebanding dengan kondisi kesehatan terumbu karang yang kurang baik dan rendahnya jumlah biota pada lokasi tersebut. Kondisi kesehatan karang yang rusak diakibatkan adanya aktivitas perikanan, bleaching, dan penyakit karang. Kegiatan monitoring invertebrata di daerah tersebut perlu dilakukan kembali secara berkala untuk mengetahui kondisi perairan tersebut dengan adanya kelimpahan pada invertebrata.

The systemic practice of usury has caused the monetary sector to separate from the real sector, c... more The systemic practice of usury has caused the monetary sector to separate from the real sector, causing a prolonged economic downturn. This has actually been warned in the Qur'an. For this reason, this study aims to explore the "warning" about usury in the Qur'an, including finding solutions. With the method of interpretation of maudhu'i's conclusions, it was concluded that the prohibition of usury because of usury contained dangers and impacts both micro and macro. The gradual prohibition of usury gives an understanding that in order to deal with the usury system a planned stage and strategy is needed. And the main strategy to deal with the usury system is to promote charity and alms.

This study presents the development of kanban system at local manufacturing company in Malaysia. The study discusses flow of implementation activities in manufacturing site prior to kanban system. The paper concludes that implementation of kanban system would reduce lead time, minimize inventory on floor and optimize storage area. Therefore, the objective of this study is to highlight the kanban system implementation that improve manufacturing system as well as achieved Just In Time practice.

Effective and efficient material handling (MH) system is crucial in any Just in Time (JIT) produc... more Effective and efficient material handling (MH) system is crucial in any Just in Time (JIT) production system. A Gravity Flow Rack (GFR) system is one of the very well adopted MH system and very practical in order to optimize the effectiveness of the JIT production system. This paper presents a review on the actual implementation of a GFR system at an automotive component's assembly line in an accord to improve its existing MH system. The main purpose of this implementation is to reduce the material transfer activities while reducing the occupied space; hence reducing the overall production cycle time (CT). The implementation outcomes show significance improvement on the productivity and not to mention the material handling's time. It is proven that the GFR system is still relevant and can be regarded as one of the most effective tool in JIT production.

This paper discusses a method to determine optimum numbers of kanban in Just In Time production s... more This paper discusses a method to determine optimum numbers of kanban in Just In Time production system and analyzes effect of optimum numbers of kanban to manufacturing performance. Method to determine kanban numbers was carried out by designing kanban flow based current situation, gathering relevant parameter on floor and company database, and calculating of kanban quantity through basic mathematical model. The basic mathematical model of kanban is derived according to designated kanban flow in JIT production system. The optimum number of kanbans would control and regulate material flow in manufacturing, thus JIT is achieved. As a result, product lead time and inventory stock level are improved. The conclusion is that an appropriate determination numbers of kanban could lead to optimizing manufacturing capability.

It focuses on the execution of flow from the beginning until the end of the implementation, types of analyses and tools applied, evaluation methods and how the company benefited from the implementation. The on-site study was conducted at an automotive assembly area, XYZ Sendirian Berhad. LM, using a set of tools, such as time study, single minute exchange of dies (SMED), standardized work, continuous flow manufacturing system (CFMS) and 5-Why analysis were successfully implemented. The flow of implementation activities was designed by referring to Toyotas 8-Step process. The results of this study showed a significant achievement in waste identification and elimination at the case study area.
