These lesions were first noted over the thighs and back in the first week of life, followed by a gradual progression to involve cheeks, arms, and chest in the subsequent 6 weeks. No systemic complaints were noted, and the child was well. He was born by cesarean section due to breech presentation, with no perinatal complications. On examination, multiple, nontender, symmetrically distributed, erythematous to skin-colored, firm, subcutaneous plaques and nodules were seen over the cheeks, arms, thighs, and back (Figures 1 and 2). He also had an umbilical hernia. Serum chemistry and calcium were normal, and chest radiograph was unremarkable. A skin biopsy was performed (Figures 3 and 4).

In addition, she also had dysphagia, reported significant weight loss and had been operated on for carpal tunnel syndrome in the recent past. There was no history of hoarseness of voice, arthritis, bone pain, breathlessness or palpitations. Examination revealed multiple, symmetrical, discrete, skin-coloured, dome-shaped waxy papules 2-4 mm in size over her face, trunk and extremities with lesions concentrating over the periorbital area and upper trunk (Figure 1). Multiple skin-coloured to purpuric papules were also noted over the tongue and lips (Figure 2). There was sclerodactyly and macroglossia. Dermoscopic evaluation showed haemorrhagic spots on a yellowish structureless background. A punch biopsy was obtained from one of the skin papules for histopathological evaluation (Figure 3).
