Professor at Kerbala Medical College in Iraq Dr. Al Kutobi, Hasan Murtadah MBChB, CAMB Abstract Background Erectile dysfunction affects more than 50% of diabetic patie nts and results in miserable couple’s life, especially for young adults. Possible predictor s are proper therapy and patient’s compliance with treatment, in addition to the warning s gns and symptoms of sensory neuron and motor deficits. Therefore, this stud y was conducted to determine the prevalence of Erectile dysfunction and its predictors among diabetic patients in Kerbala. Material and methods The study included a convenient sample of 61 patients with diabetes mellitus type I and II. They were chosen through a systematic sampling among p atients at the diabetes mellitus clinic at Al Hussein Teaching Hospital in Holy Kerbala /Iraq i n 2018. ALGORITHM OF QUASI-INVARIANT CONTROL OF ELECTRIC DRIVE OF VERTICAL VEHICLE IN THE MODE OF MEDIUM-SPEED RISE An algorithm for quasi-invariant control (QIC) is proposed, which allows reducing the magnitude of the jogging effect on the pressing speed of a vertical vehicle. QIC does not require the use of special controlled rollers, a measure of the magnitude of the push and the control system of the rollers.

Research paper thumbnail of The prophylactic –protective effect of camel milk on ethanol induced hepato-toxicity in newborn rats

Material and Methods: The study was conducted on 5 groups of 6 rats each, including healthy group (0.5ml normal saline (NS),gavage),ethanol group (3g/kg/day ethanol by gavage),camel milk group (1mL/kg/day/orally camel milk),ethanol(3g/kg/day/orally) plus camel milk (1mL/kg/day/orally )group, 1mL/kg/day/orally camel milk for fifteen days before gestation (as a prophylactic ) and then given ethanol(3g/kg/day/orally) group. The duration of treatment lasted from conception to birth. Results: According to our findings in this study, the treatment of rats with ethanol during pregnancy leads to a significant increase in the level of MDA and to a significant decrease in the activity of SOD, CAT and GSH-PX enzymes in liver tissues of newborn rats, and histological changes in the liver tissue. In addition to a significant increase in the activity of serum liver enzymes compared to the control ...

Diabetes is a comprehensive term for a number of metabolic diseases that affect the body's ab... more Diabetes is a comprehensive term for a number of metabolic diseases that affect the body's ability to control blood glucose levels. Insulin is produced in the pancreas and helps to metabolize glucose for energy. Diabetes occurs when insulin production is weak. The current study was to examine the effect of smoking and exercise on biochemicals for type 2 diabetics Kerbala. Patients and Methods: Group A: Consists of 20 type 2 patients with diabetes, were smokers, and did not exercise and were treated by metformin. Group B consists of 20 patients of type 2 diabetes, non-smokers, exercise and metformin treatment. Control group: Normal healthy individuals for comparison, 20 healthy people participated in this study. Type 2 DM patients have controls characterized by age, fasting plasma glucose and fasting personal fasting Lipid profile: Comparison of the TG in different groups with control shows that all groups [control (TSC:4.08±0.615,TG: 1.05±0.314),group A(TSC: 5.01±1.479,TG: 3.51±...

This study aimed to evaluate the possible protective effect of novel (drug derived from condensation of curcumin and cefotaxime) against cefotaxime induced hepato-renal toxicity in rats.Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into four equal groups; the first group (control group): without any treatment. The second group (cefotaxime group) were injected intramuscular cefotaxime (90 mg/kg twice daily for seven days). The third group ( novel drug) were received novel drug at dose 90 mg/kg twice daily for seven days.
