The aim of the study was to investigate the determinants of FinTechs across OECD countries. The study was geared at determining the effect of size, equity, labour, loans and deposits on the performance of the FinTechs (return on assets and return on equity). The data was collected from Refinitive Eikon Platform on FinTechs. According to the study, it was clear that a rise in the size of the company led to a decline in their financial performance. The findings revealed that equity had a positive effect on the performance of FinTechs across the different financial periods. The results also informed that labour had a negative effect on both the return on equity and return on assets across the OECD countries' FinTechs. Loans had a positive effect on performance of the different FinTechs. Also, the results reported that deposits had a negative effect on financial performance of the different FinTechs over the different periods. From the study, there is the need for more collaborative research across academics, policymakers, and industry experts to better the outcomes. Furthermore, longitudinal data should also be sourced to better the desired outcomes.
