Optimization of Tillage Area on Chili Cultivation in Minimum Tillage System using Arachis pintoi Biomulch. Supervised by M. A. CHOZIN. Chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is often cultivated conventionally in Indonesia. Chili cultivation in conventional with intensive soil tillage often causes land degradation and compacting soil layers below topsoil in long term. Unfavorable soil conditions can affect chili production. One effort to improve soil conditions is using minimum tillage systems with muching. This research aimed to learn the optimum size of tillage area against growth and production of chili in minimum tillage system with Arachis pintoi biomulch. This research was conducted in Cikarawang, Dramaga, West Java, from April to August 2016. This research used a completely randomized group design with sizes of tillage area as a factor with three replications.
