Introduction: Dengue is the most important emerging tropical viral disease of humans in the world... more Introduction: Dengue is the most important emerging tropical viral disease of humans in the world today. Severe dengue is a leading cause of serious illness and death among children. Objectives: To assess the level and retention of knowledge of high school children regarding dengue before and after the educational program. Material &methods: - Interventional Study conducted among high School children. Pretest was taken by using structured questionnaire. Two post- tests were conducted one immediately after educational program and another after15 Days by using same questionnaire. Data Analysis: paired t-test was used. P value <0.05 was considered as significant. Result: Study revealed that pre-test knowledge mean score was found 12.11. In the post test, mean of knowledge score was found 15.41.For retention of knowledge post-test 2 mean knowledge score was found 15.25.Both post- test mean of knowledge score was found statistically significant. In the first half of 2020 COVID-19 disease has already converted into a global pandemic. Many treatment options were explored through the world. Aims and Objectives: To compare the efficacy and outcome of methylprednisolone (MTP) and dexamethasone (DEXA) in moderate-to-severe COVID-19 disease. Materials and Methods: In this prospective study, a total of 140 moderate to severe COVID-19 patients were enrolled from 15 April to June 15, 2021. These patients were randomly allocated into two groups, 70 patients were received MTP 2 mg/kg/day for 3 days followed by 1.0 mg/kg/day for 3 days in divided doses while 70 patients received DEXA 8 mg/day in divided dose up to 10 days. Results: The mean age was 45.5 years in MTP group whereas 45.34 years in DEXA group. It is a normal physical reaction to an internal or external pressure that is placed on a person's system. Extended periods of stress can cause destructive changes in the body. (1) To assess the prevalence of stress and its level among intensive care unit (ICU) staff (doctors and nurses) of various hospitals and (2) to correlate the level of stress with certain variables. A cross-sectional study was conducted in the ICU of various hospital of Pune for a period of 1 month. Eighty-two ICU staff (doctors and nurses) were contacted and interviewed using pretested proforma containing DASS stress rating scale (for stress only). Data analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for the Sciences (SPSS) version 19.0 software. To compare the level of stress with various parameters, we used Chi-square test. The incidence of animal bite in India is 17.4 per 1000 population. Although cases of animal bite constitute a problem of considerable magnitude, not all the victims seek medical help. There is a need to create awareness regarding epidemiology and at-home management of animal bites among general community. Objective: To determine profile of animal bite cases attending a Pune Municipal Corporation Dispensary. Material and Methods: A Cross Sectional Study carried out in one of the randomly selected Pune Municipal Corporation Dispensaries. A total of 300 animal bite cases were included as study subjects. Data collection was done by structured interview technique and was entered into Microsoft Excel Sheet for statistical analysis. Results: Of total 300 animal bite cases, 73% were males.
