Crime problem has resulted in material costs to the mental health and criminal justice system. In... more Crime problem has resulted in material costs to the mental health and criminal justice system. In India, thousands of people enter the prison and juvenile homes each year, and very limited numbers are periodically released. There is a very limited opportunity to offer a corrective experience is completely lost in our system which looks at a time is a process of punishment and has the attitude that nothing works. That is certainly not the case. The present crime system serves as a ground to convert small-time offenders into permanent offenders. This also helps them in be a part of this crime world where limited opportunity is there for self-correction. The biggest failure of this system is limited opportunities for change in attitude and behavior in our society. There is a need to understand the present system of prison setting and rehabilitation systems.
The main aim of the study was to find out the queries of parents of delayed speech language and h... more The main aim of the study was to find out the queries of parents of delayed speech language and hearing children and to providing with the information about the diagnostic aspects and rehabilitation process. Parents having both the children with delayed speech, language and hearing impairment were taken for the study. Both the parents included in this study had psycho emotional distress and expressed as anger, grief and frustration. When the child is diagnosed as speech and hearing problems, parents had no knowledge about what next. Due to lack of information, the duration between diagnosis and intervention became more. The parents were given information regarding speech and language assessments, audiological assessments and its intervention including proper amplification (hearing aids, cochlear implant); Speech language therapy (Auditory training, auditory verbal therapy). Music therapy, as an adjunct to traditional therapies and treatment for those with mental health needs, has been demonstrated to be an effective intervention. It can allow individuals to explore personal feelings, to make positive changes in mood and emotional states, to practice problem solving, and to develop the skills required for wellbeing. Empirical studies of the use of music with oncology patients have demonstrated that music can reduce anxiety, stress and physical symptoms, can help to manage pain, can encourage a reflective awareness of emotion, and can enhance communication and quality of life. It seems that further to individual differences of boy and girl, the expectation of society and people around, especially parents, are different in terms of children’s sexuality. As per our society, girls are mostly expected to be more expressive of feelings, whereas abstaining from feelings expression in boys is strengthened as a manly model. The research showed that emotional intelligence is meaningful associated with gender differences.
