Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan soft skils dan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa kelas V SD ... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan soft skils dan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Jogodayoh, Bambanglipuro, Bantul, Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2013/2014 menggunakan media mindscape dan cooperative learning dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Bachman yang pada tiap siklusnya terdiri atas tiga tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VB SD Muhammadiyah Jogodayoh, Bambanglipuro, Bantul tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Jenis tindakan yang dilakukan adalah penggunaan media mindscape dan cooperative learning dalam empat segmen. Kolaborator dalam penelitian adalah guru kelas VB sebagai pelaksana tindakan. Indonesia is one of the multicultural countries in the world and is a great nation with its cultu... more Indonesia is one of the multicultural countries in the world and is a great nation with its cultural diversity. This diversity is the potential and uniqueness of Indonesian nation. However, the potential and uniqueness are recognized or can cause various problems. Corruption, collusion, nepotism, separatism, robbery, violence, political feud, bullying, poverty, environmental destruction, and the diminution of nationalism and solidarity values are the real problems as well as parts of these diversities. These factors are also the background of the writing of this paper. Multicultural integration in social studies learning needs to be necessarily made as an effort to build the character of Indonesian. Multicultural integration in social studies can be done through inserting multicultural material and made it as a teaching supplementary material. Multicultural integration is carried out through the application of social science concepts based on the diversity utilization that exists in society, especially in students such as ethnic diversity, gender, social status, abilities, language, religion, age, and race. Multicultural integration can be done through cultural values of Pancasila approach. Cultural values of Pancasila approach with the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" must become the basis of multicultural integration. This approach is regarded as an effort to build the character of Indonesian for the next generation. The character of Indonesian becomes a marker of Indonesia that has a distinct identity with other nations.

This research aims to determine feasibility for the natural disaster and its mitigation based on ... more This research aims to determine feasibility for the natural disaster and its mitigation based on Islamic Values for elementary school students. This study uses the research and development (R&D) method, the model used in the research is the ADDIE model. This stage of development is analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of the research trials is 36 students of grade IV and V SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Program Plus Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and the teacher and student response assessment sheets are then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data. Media Feasibility Assessment results by media experts acquiring a score of 4, material expert 3.9, learning expert 3.88, and linguist 3.50. Besides, a small-scale student response with a score of 97.5 and a large-scale student response with a score of 97.8. This diversity is a potential and uniqueness of Indonesian society. However, the potential and specificity are not getting the chance to develop and manage itself based on the wisdom and the will to coexist peacefully. Indigenous Knowledge is an ancestral cultural heritage, which is the nation's wealth and strength. This paper explains the importance of Indigenous Knowledge to strengthen national identity and develop cross-cultural literacy in multicultural societies. This ability will involve the ability to cross-cultural literacy. Cross-cultural literacy includes cultural competence but adds to it the ability to critically reflect on, and if necessary, bring about change in, one's own culture. Based on the conditions of Indonesia's multicultural society, a strategy is needed to form a stable and tolerant Indonesian state. One such approach is to develop cross-cultural and character literacy in Indonesia through the integration of Indigenous Knowledge in primary school education.

The method used in this research is Research & Development (R&D) by modifying the ADDIE development model into ADDE (analyze, design, development, evaluation). Encyclopedias developed are validated by experts in the media, material, language, learning, and assessment by the teacher, as well as students' responses. The encyclopedia was tried out in a limited way and by a large group trial at Muhammadiyah Pakel Elementary School. The feasibility test of encyclopedia natural disaster mitigation based on augmented type QR Code obtains a very feasible category according to material, learning, language, and media experts. The teacher assesses a very decent category. The results of small-scale and large-scale learners get very well categories. The research subjects were students of class C PGSD UAD, in the academic year of 2013/2014. The results of the study showed that students' social values and multicultural education materials concept understanding improved after the implementation of learning actions through mindscape media and cooperative learning in three segments.

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas kolaboratif dengan guru kelas sebagai kolaborator pelaksana tindakan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara dan butir soal. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soft skills dan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah dilaksanakan tindakan pembelajaran melalui media mindscape dan metode cooperative learning. Rata-rata skor soft skills siswa sebelum tindakan adalah 1,14 (sangat rendah) meningkat menjadi 2,06 (sedang) pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 3,50 (sangat tinggi) pada siklus II.
