It is difficult to arrive at a specific policy decision to contain it. An attempt has been made to analyze the causal factors responsible for high inflation in food articles. The commodity wise analysis of the factors will give new insights in to the phenomenon of high inflation in food articles. The study finds no substantial evidence to support the popular view that, the higher food prices in recent years was the outcome of the structural shift in the dietary pattern. Finally, it has been concluded that, in India, high inflation in food articles during the post-2008 crises period was attributed mainly to the short term domestic supply side constrains and mismanagement of the food grain economy.

Innovative ideas have been put forward; recently, using hydrogen or hydrogen-rich gas as a secondary fuel for engines is one of the solutions for improving brake thermal efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and pollution emissions from internal combustion engines. Theoretical studies have been performed on HHO fueled internal combustion engines. In an HHO production system HHO gas is produced by electrolysis of water, which is a mixture of 2/3 of hydrogen and 1/3 of oxygen bonded together molecularly. This article gives a review of the effect of HHO gas addition on engine performance and emission characteristics.

Estimates based on a sample of Italian manufacturing firms provide econometric evidence supporting the hypothesis that adoption and use of digital technologies affect enterprises' exporting behaviour. In particular, the front-end digital technologies, such as web site, social network, e-commerce, have a much higher effect on the decision to export than those integrated with operational processes (electronic information sharing, rfid, eInvoices, etc.). ICT competences and training investments to upgrade digital skills have a not significant influence as well. If innovation characteristics are considered, firms introducing organizational innovation together with front-end digital technologies are more likely to export. Some policy implications of the study are finally discussed.

The current transport landscape is experiencing radical changes, as witnessed by the emergence of a multitude of new applications, business models and specialisations, as well as by the entry of new players. The purpose of the paper is to provide a large-scale investigation of technological trajectories and new mobility solutions outlined by start-ups and young companies in the global transport industry. The paper employs network analysis to detect productive and innovative activities of firms founded between 2001 and 2016. Our findings highlight that three clusters of interconnected technologies and transport-related solutions are emerging: new cars prototypes and alternative vehicles prompt innovation in autonomous driving; technologies for transport sharing and public transit data analysis stimulate new solutions in urban livability; management systems, platform development and vehicle-optimization technologies bring innovative specializations in the integrated logistics services. Results provide policy-makers, venture capitalists, as well as open innovation teams in large corporations, with quantitative and relevant findings on transport-related innovative solutions.
