This study aims to describe students' difficulties in solving word problems on arithmetic seq... more This study aims to describe students' difficulties in solving word problems on arithmetic sequences and series material with problem solving steps according to the Polya indicator, which consists of understanding the problem, planning a solution, solving the problem, and re-examining. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, with class X subjects totaling 35 students at SMA Negeri 1 Nguter for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research data collection technique is by giving a test in the form of story questions totaling 3 questions, with predetermined indicators. While interviews are used to check the validity of the data and continue the discussion to achieve research objectives. The description of the students’ cognitive aspects in mathematics learning provided understanding to the lecturers as the preparation in planning the mathematics learning to support the maximum achievement of the students during the learning. In the first step, plan was the first activity with the Lesson Study team to discuss various preparations needed. The second step, namely do and the third step, see as the evaluation form of the conclusion through the lecturer expression model and findings of all observer in order to be improved and analyzed by the researchers. The research on the implementation of the lessson study aims to obtain information on students' r... more The research on the implementation of the lessson study aims to obtain information on students' readiness in learning mathematics based on their cognitive style. There are two types of students', field dependent and field independent cognitive styles. The method of obtaining information on students' readiness in learning mathematics through this first lesson study phase is that the plan is an initial activity with the lesson study team to discuss various preparations which needed. The second stage is the process of observing during the lesson study process in the classroom, the main observation of observers at the lesson study is to emphasized when students have questions and answers between lecturers and students and when students discuss in groups. The last stage is seeing as a form of evaluation of conclusions through lecturer model expressions and various findings from all observers in order to improve and be analyzed by researchers. Information on student readiness in mathematics learning becomes a reference for lecturers' preparation in preparing the necessary tools, models or learning methods. Early preparation by the lecturer can support the peak achievement of students during learning.
This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness google classroom in online learning. This... more This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness google classroom in online learning. This research uses quantitative methods through a google form questionnaire and is followed by quantitative descriptive data analysis. The population of this study were students of class XII SMA Veteran 1 Sukoharjo with a sample of 23 students from class XII BB. Based on the research, the average value of student learning outcomes was 79.348 with the high category. There were 21 students who completed and there were 2 people who had not completed or did not meet the completeness score of 70. The results of student responses after being distributed by the questionnaire via google form showed that the percentage value of student responses was 60.87% in the moderate category. Based on the results of research and discussion, the level of effectiveness of Google Classroom is quite effective for delivering material, delivering and collecting assignments. Terlebih lagi dengan mewabahnya virus Corona yang mulai memasuki Indonesia awal tahun 2020 ini. Oleh karena itu dunia pendidikan Indonesia yang semula dilakukan secara luring kini dilakukan secara daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar Matematika siswa secara daring yang melibatkan 24 siswa pada salah satu SMA di Sukoharjo. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan peneliti yaitu melalui instrumen angket motivasi sebanyak 17 pernyataan dengan memanfaatkan Google Classroom. Pernyataan-pernyataan dalam angket merupakan pernyataan yang dijabarkan dari indikator-indikator mengenai motivasi belajar matematika siswa secara daring. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan pembelajaran matematika dengan sistem darin... more Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan pembelajaran matematika dengan sistem daring masa pandemi covid-19. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk pengambilan keputusan dalam penanganan kesulitan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripstif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas VII dan VIII SMP TAHFIZH AL-ITTIBA' Klaten pada semester genap tahun 2020/2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal penyebab kesulitan belajar meliputi aspek minat dengan persentase 60,60% dalam kategori menghambat, aspek kesiapan belajar dengan presentasi 70,38 dalam kategori cukup menghambat, aspek motivasi dengan persentase 60,33% dalam kategori menghambat, aspek kesehatan dengan persentase 82,88% dalam kategori tidak menghambat. Faktor eksternal penyebab kesulitan belajar meliputi aspek keluarga dengan persentase 86,14% dalam kategori tidak menghambat, aspek sekolah dengan persentase 62,93% dalam kategori cukup menghambat, dan aspek lingkungan atau masyarakat dengan persentase 66,30% dalam kategori cukup menghambat.

Efforts to overcome problems about learning recurrence relation, then in the year 2016/2017 devel... more Efforts to overcome problems about learning recurrence relation, then in the year 2016/2017 developed an worksheet ELPSA learning media that is a sheet based on ELPSA (experience, language, picture, symbol, application). A test of the use of the worksheet ELPSA concluded that effective learning. However, to support the results of these studies, it is necessary to analyze tudents responses to the use of worksheet ELPSA. This research aims to analyze the response of students to the use of worksheet ELPSA in learning recurrence relation.The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire given to 28 students of Mathematic Education in Univet Bantara Sukoharjo on academic year 2016/2017. A feasibility assessment of the questionnaire instruments is performed by two validators. Results of analysis obtained mean score of students response questionnaire 90,76%. Based on the specified categorization it can be concluded that the student response to the worksheet ELPSA is very positive and worksheet ELPSA is said to be effective
