There is a growing interest in the world for environmental protection, climate change mitigation,... more There is a growing interest in the world for environmental protection, climate change mitigation, energy security, and sustainability of production and energy capacities of innovative renewable energy sources Increasing industrial activity has caused air pollution due to projected particles of pollutants. There are global concerns about the increased CO 2 emissions and risks to human health and sustainable development. The paper aims to apply technologies that reduce the use of fossil fuels and CO 2 emissions as much as possible. Green environmental technology is relevant worldwide because it contributes to the decarbonization and development of new technologies in the energy sector and enterprises. The purpose of the paper is to point out to decision-makers an innovative approach to the use of new technologies, which would indicate the future directions of green sustainable development. By applying different methods in the paper, it is concluded that all countries have to introduce modern technologies and innovative energy development, not only improve the quality of life of all citizens of Serbia but also of all inhabitants of the planet.

The “speed” of modern business—as well as changes in the environment—have led administrative orga... more The “speed” of modern business—as well as changes in the environment—have led administrative organizations on the path of additional challenges. These organizations tirelessly strive for the realization of advanced systems, adapting their business to modern ideas and trends and gaining market advantage. In this way, organizations become modern and contemporary in their understandings of internal functioning. The study presented by the authors in the chapter aimed to determine the impact of human resource management (HRM) functions on the balanced scorecard in Jordanian public joint-stock companies. In the research, adequate statistical and descriptive methods were used. The results of the study recommend the creation of an organizational culture that promotes the optimal and effective use of HRM functions in the organizational environment.

Human resources are the most important factor in all forms of tourism business, including rural tourism. The subject of this paper is a survey of employee satisfaction in rural tourism, in Eastern Serbia - in the villages of the Timok region. The authors aimed to highlight the most important motivating factors of employees in smaller rural households. The technique of survey questionnaires was applied, while the obtained data were processed by the appropriate statistical method. The paper represents a modest contribution to the research of human resources motivation in the field of rural tourism, but the results obtained by the research can be recommendations to the general managers of rural households, in which way to best motivate their employees.

Koliko je čovek nemoćan pred prirodom svedoči činjenica, da milijardu puta manji neprijatelj (virus) može pred ispit staviti sve tekovine dosadašnje civilizacije. Bez obzira na ekološke i humanitarne probleme, postoji nada da će čovek moći da reaguje na pravi način, uz veće razumevanje dinamike prirodnih ali i društvenih procesa. Dakle, da bi se opstalo, potrebno je proširiti znanja, potrebno je naći pravi put ka održivosti. Širenje znanja potpomaže podizanju ekološke svesti čoveka, te je neophodno još u samom početku edukacije svake jedinke, uvesti saznanje o održivom razvoju i o putevima istog. Stasavanjem jedinke, znanje je potrebno uvećavati do momenta opredeljenja samog čoveka za višom edukacijom. Rad predstavlja skroman doprinos u dostizanju puta održivosti, ukazujući na značaj obrazovanja u visokoškolskim ustanovama sa ciljem shvatanja važnosti koliko je čovek neodvojiv od prirode i koliko od nje zavisi. Stoga autori u radu predstavljaju praksu visokog obrazovanja u zemljama azijsko-pacifičkog regiona, usmerenu na razumevanje značaja visokog obrazovanja za održivi razvoj. Autori će se osvrnuti na visoko obrazovanje u Srbiji kao i na način na koji se podstiče shvatanje održivosti u obrazovanju.

The subject of the research is the sustainability of medium-sized enterprises in Serbia. The purpose of this chapter is to find out how the negative effects can be mitigated post-COVID-19 crisis on the business of SMEs and the financial result of the company using the descriptive method. It considered the most common and nationally specific types of support and measures to facilitate access to credit and provided additional guarantees through established special guarantee funds. The contribution of the chapter is to point out the social and economic components of the sustainability of SMEs, government responsibility, and the responsible business strategies for overcoming the COVID crisis in the Western Balkans and the surrounding area.

The subject of the research is the rehabilitation center in Eastern Serbia. The main idea of the chapter is to show how those hospital institutions use artificial intelligence-IT technologies for improving recovery services to patients in the post-COVID condition. The chapter will discuss the most common types of support and measures to facilitate the functioning of eco-tourism in Serbia with the aim to adopt good practices of developed countries (Hungary). Ecological tourism takes place in areas of pure and preserved nature. The contribution of the chapter is to point to new strategies in spa tourism, to shorten the time and reduce business costs. This would contribute to the sustainability of tourism.
