This research aims to analyze the economic scale and determine business development strategies fo... more This research aims to analyze the economic scale and determine business development strategies for halal food MSMEs in Pangkalpinang City. The population used was all small and medium enterprises that had halal certificates with a total of 488 SMEs, where the sample was determined by selecting SMEs that produce processed seafood and a total sample of 50 business actors was obtained. The type of data in this research is primary data, where the data source was obtained through interview methods at halal food MSME locations. This research data is a cross section which is looked at at one time, namely during 2022, from every halal food MSME in Pangkalpinang City. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis with the Cobb Douglas Production Function Model. After estimating the production function model Cobb-Dougla , it can 1 2 3 is 0.934. These results conclude that the halal food industry in Pangkalpinang City is at Decreasing returns to scale, meaning that a proportional increase in production factors results in a less than proportional increase in production or output. There are 10 business development strategies for halal food MSMEs in Pangkalpinang City that can be implemented.

Purpose-This paper aims to explore the problems in developing the halal food industry in the tour... more Purpose-This paper aims to explore the problems in developing the halal food industry in the tourismm area, and then find solutions to overcome these issues. One of the popular tourismm areas in Indonesia is Bangka Belitung. Design/methodology/approach-The respondents in this study are practitioners and academics who have knowledge of the halal food industry in Bangka Belitung. Then, the analytic network process is used as a tool to analyze priority problems and solutions. Findings-The analysis reveals that there are three priority issues: 1. Lack of understanding and commitment from companies to excel the halal products, 2. Lack of company understanding related to the halal supply chain, 3. Declining performance of the tourism industry sector. Then, the priority solution in this finding is to increase and improve professions, academics, and supporting institutions. Research limitations/implications-This study only examines the problem of developing the halal food industry in the tourism area. This study contributes to the literature by exploring problems and discussing solutions. Practical implications-This study highlights the priority problems and discusses the solutions to become a reference in making policies and strategies in the development of the halal food industry in the tourism area, especially in the Bangka Belitung Islands, Indonesia. Originality/value-Although there are several studies in this field, to the best of the author's knowledge, there has been no research analysis about the problems of the halal food industry in tourismm areas. Therefore, the analysis is presented using the pioneering method which considers sustainability and innovation as the priorities.

Development is measured by innovation strategy, product strategy, promotion strategy, pricing strategy, and collusion strategy. The data used are primary data obtained from in-depth interviews with five experts and practitioners with competent considerations in the field of the halal food industry—the analysis technique applying the Analytic Network Process. The findings indicated that the most superior aspects in the behavioral cluster are innovation strategy, product strategy, promotion strategy, price strategy, and collusion strategy. Meanwhile, the result from the benefit, cost, opportunity, risk (BOCR) cluster, the order of aspects that best describes the condition of the halal food industry in Bangka Belitung, is an opportunity, benefit, cost, risk. The variables observed in this study is inflation and income per capita. This research uses time series of data for the period 2004-2015, which is a secondary data. The Data is sourced from the central bank of Indonesia and Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, the models used in this study is a model of multiple regression equations and Analyzed using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). Based on the estimates, the Research found that the inflation and income per capita significantly influence elasticity of demand for Islamic bank's financing in Indonesia. The elasticity of demand for Islamic bank's financing is inelastic to changes in price. This means that the demand Islamic bank's financing in Indonesia are not sensitive to changes in price.
