Computations were performed at the RHF/3-21G and MP2/6-31G* levels of theory. The activation energy was predicted to be 1-10 kcal/mol. The heat of reaction was predicted to be-27 to-34 kcal/mol. Hydroxy, formyl, boryl, fliioro, and amino substituent effects were examined at the 3-21G level. The resonance donors (OH, F, NH,) were found to stabilize the cyclization transition state when substituted on the outside, while the resonance acceptors (BH,, CHO) were found 0022-3263/89/ 1954-6006$01.50/0 to prefer cyclization when placed inside, as found earlier for cyclobutenes. Sir: Since the first report of electronic factors controlling the outward or inward rotation of substituents in the conrotatory electrocyclizations of substituted cyclobutenes,' many examples have been observed experimen-(1) Kirmse, W.; Rondan, N.; Houk, K. Starting from an application task graph, C code will be generated automatically. Then the user can add the specific code of each task. Compilation rules are used in order to have a correct task graph and c code. Finally, an automatic generation of hardware and software SoC architecture will be down to get a new model prototype of the FPGA based SOC platform. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed idea by the implementation of CAGT software tool which can generate efficient and correct C code from a task graph. The generated code is compliant to the ANSI C standard thus can be accepted by most compilers.

Research paper thumbnail of "OpenMP" automatic parallelization tools: An Empirical comparative evaluation

Thus, a programmer or a compiler explicitly parallelizes the software, which is the key to enhance the performance on multi-core design. Nevertheless, currently, needs an in-depth knowledge of both software and hardware design to develop parallel applications. Automatic parallelization is one of the approaches aiming at a better and easier use of parallel computers. In recent years, several research auto-parallelization tools appeared. However, the automatic parallelization is yet to become a widely adopted industrial practice. This paper presents an empirical comparison between three research tools, namely CETUS, PLUTO and GASPARD. Indeed, we discuss the success of these tools to automatically generate OpenMP parallel codes from serial C codes and compare them using known benchmark C workloads and some evalua...

Research paper thumbnail of Benders-based approach for an integrated Lot-Sizing and Scheduling problem

We aim at integrating the medium term and the short term as two levels of decision. These consist in periodical planning with determining the intended produced quantity and scheduling the functioning of machines. It is worth noting that in the literature there exist only few works on the issue of integration because of the shortage of numerical results. Thus, the integrated model presented here allows us to take into consideration the scheduling constraints in the Lot-sizing model. A recent algorithm, based on a heuristic approach to find a production planning with a feasible schedule for each period, has recently been published in which the two levels of decision were applied. In this paper, some of these ideas are developed in order to get an optimal solution. For this, an exact algorithm of Benders' decomposition method i...
