The research works on designing and manufacturing a device that can generate clean energy, taking... more The research works on designing and manufacturing a device that can generate clean energy, taking into account the geographical location of Iraq, and be economical and cheap, this manufactured device addresses the permanent problems that this type of device encounters. Therefore, a solar tracker has been manufactured that tracks the sun’s rays, to reduce the number of solar panels used, and is an environmentally friendly generator, it works without the LDR photosensors. The work was done on different days, a sunny day, a partially cloudy day, and a cloudy day. Through the work, it was practically observed that the device responded to work and reduced the problem of dispersion, as it was directed by programming from the microcontroller, not by the sensors, from the obtained results, it was noted that the generation losses in the three days under study sequentially are (10.9%, 9%, 4.9% ) and the results are very acceptable, and the anticipated outcome was attained.

Identification process is appropriate in work place, private zones, banks …etc. Individuals are rich subject having many characteristics that can be used for recognition purpose such as finger vein, iris, face …etc. Finger vein and iris key-points are considered as one of the most talented biometric authentication techniques for its security and convenience. SIFT is new and talented technique for pattern recognition. However, some shortages exist in many related techniques, such as difficulty of feature loss, feature key extraction, and noise point introduction. In this manuscript a new method named SIFT-based iris and SIFT-based finger vein identification with normalization and enhancement is proposed for achieving better performance. In evaluation with other SIFT-based iris or SIFT-based finger vein recognition algorithms, the suggested technique can overcome the difficulties of accurate extraction of key-points and clear the noise points without feature loss. Experimental outcomes demonstrate that the normalization and improvement steps are critical for SIFT-based iris recognition and SIFT-based finger vein recognition , the recommended method can accomplish satisfactory recognition performance.

A common approach to the color image compression was started by transform the red, green, and blu... more A common approach to the color image compression was started by transform the red, green, and blue or (RGB) color model to a desire color model, then applying compression techniques, and finally retransform the results into RGB model. In this paper, a low complexity and efficient coding scheme based on Biorthogonal tab3/5 wavelet filter is proposed. The proposed system consists of the color transform YC b C r , followed by Wavelet (Tab3/5) transform, uniform quantization using Pyramid Quantization, modified Bit map Slicing coding method, and finally Huffman coding to produce the final bit stream. The efficiency performance of the suggested image encoding methods has been evaluated by making comparisons between them and corresponding compression results obtained by applying the compression standard JPEG and JPEG2000.

Glaucoma leads to frustrate the visual information transmission to the brain. Dissimilar to other eye illness such as myopia and cataracts. The impact of glaucoma can’t be cured; The Disc Damage Likelihood Scale (DDLS) can be used to assess the Glaucoma. The proposed methodology suggested simple method to extract Neuroretinal rim (NRM) region then dividing the region into four sectors after that calculate the width for each sector and select the minimum value to use it in DDLS factor. The feature was fed to the SVM classification algorithm, the DDLS successfully classified Glaucoma disease with 70% percentage; moreover, when the dimensions of both Optic Disc(OD) and Optic Cup(OC) were used as additional features the accuracy rate raised to 91%.

Color image compression is a good way to encode digital images by decreasing the number of bits w... more Color image compression is a good way to encode digital images by decreasing the number of bits wanted to supply the image. The main objective is to reduce storage space, reduce transportation costs and maintain good quality. In current research work, a simple effective methodology is proposed for the purpose of compressing color art digital images and obtaining a low bit rate by compressing the matrix resulting from the scalar quantization process (reducing the number of bits from 24 to 8 bits) using displacement coding and then compressing the remainder using the Mabel ZF algorithm Welch LZW. The proposed methodology maintains the quality of the reconstructed image. Macroscopic and quantitative experimental results on technical color images show that the proposed methodology gives reconstructed images with a high PSNR value compared to standard image compression techniques.
