Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan dosis penggunaan pupuk nitrogen terh... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan dosis penggunaan pupuk nitrogen terhadap produktivitas rumput gama umami meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, produksi segar, produksi bahan kering, dan imbangan daun:batang kondisi segar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Februari—April 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) metode split plot design (rancangan petak terbagi) dengan dua taraf perlakuan yaitu perlakuan utama (main plot) berupa jenis-jenis pupuk nitrogen: K1 (pupuk urea); K2 (Pupuk calcium ammonium nitrate) dan perlakuan anak petak (sub plot) berupa dosis pupuk nitrogen: R0 (0 kg N/ha); R1 (50 kg N/ha); R2 (100 kg N/ha); R3 (150 kg N/ha). Setiap unit perlakuan percobaan berupa lahan petakan berukuran 1,6 x 1,4 m. Setiap unit percobaan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga tedapat 24 unit percobaan. This research was conducted in May—August 2019 at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. In vitro analysis of dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility by Tilley and Terry (1963). The experimental design used was factorial 2x2 in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 3 replications. Carcass processing was carried out at the Livestock Production Laboratory in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. This research was conducted on April 6—28th 2021 at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were cassava peel waste (P0), cassava peel waste with the addition of 1.5% urea (P1), cassava peel waste with the addition of 3% urea (P2), and cassava peel waste with the addition of 4.5% urea (P3 ). The data obtained were analysed using analysis of variance and continued with the Orthogonal Polynomial test. The objectives of the present experiment were to ev aluate the effect of dietary cation-anion dif... more The objectives of the present experiment were to ev aluate the effect of dietary cation-anion differenc (DCAD) on mineral status in blood and urine. Ration s with DCAD value of -28, -18, 0, +14, and +32 mEq were offered to 15 ewes in a randomized complet e block design. On day 21, blood samples were taken anaerobically using heparinized syringes from the coccygeal jugular venipuncture. Each syringe was capped and placed on ice immediately following collection to determine on plasma Na, K, Cl, Ca, and P concentrations. The DCAD values had no effect on plasma Na, K, Cl, Ca, and P concentrations indicating that there was homeostasis to maintain t he physiological status of the body. The DCAD value of -18, 0, +14 and +32 mEq resulted in the no rmal blood with Na:K ratio closed to 20:1. Plasma Cl concentration was associated with plasma Na, but the concentration of Cl was lower than that of Na. This study was compiled using completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment in this study is R0 : basal ration, R1 :basal ration + (EM-4 4%), R2 : basal ration + EM-4 who bred 4%, R3 : basal ration + rumen fluid 4%. Salvinia molesta merupakan limbah Waduk Batu Tegi yang berpotensi sebagai sumber pakan ternak non... more Salvinia molesta merupakan limbah Waduk Batu Tegi yang berpotensi sebagai sumber pakan ternak nonkonvensional. Informasi tentang kandungan mineral dan pemanfaatannya belum banyak diketahui. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan mineral natrium (Na), kalium (K), klorida (Cl), dan sulfur (S) pada akar tua, akar muda, daun tua, daun muda, dan seluruh tanaman Salvinia molesta. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil. Peubah yang diamati adalah kandungan mineral Na, K, Cl, dan S. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan mineral Na dan K yang terdapat di semua bagian tanaman Salvinia molesta berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01), sedangkan kandungan mineral Cl pada bagian akar muda, akar tua, daun tua dan tanaman utuh berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Kandungan mineral S pada bagian daun muda, akar tua, daun tua dan tanaman utuh tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05).

Selain itu, untuk mengetahui media tumbuh terbaik serta hubungan antara pH media dan suhu media. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada 3 Mei—12 Juni 2017 di Kandang Jurusan Peternakan dan Laboratorium Analisis Politeknik Negeri Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan media dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan media meliputi: R1 (ampas tahu), R2 (bungkil sawit), R3 (limbah ikan), dan R4 (darah ayam). Data penelitian yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam pada taraf 5% dan atau 1% serta uji lanjut dengan uji Duncan; untuk menganalisis hubungan antara rasio C/N media dan produksi maggot, serta suhu media dan pH media digunakan uji regresi. Four treatments with 3 replications were applied in a completely randomized design. The treatments were R0 = Basal diet; R1 = R0 + EM-4 4%; R2 = R0 + enriched EM-4 4%; and R3 = R0 + rumen fluid 4%. Results of the experiment showed that EM-4, enriched EM-4, and rumen fluid significantly affect the color, texture, pH, as well as the smell of the silage. The best quality of silage was achieved by using EM-4 4% and using rumen fluid 4% as starter in silage making. The purpose of this study was to determine the water content, protein, and fat in the avocado see... more The purpose of this study was to determine the water content, protein, and fat in the avocado seed jackfruit and durian obtained from traditional markets in Bandar Lampung. Materials used in this research are the seeds of avocado, jackfruit seeds, and seeds of durian. The material obtained from the three traditional markets, namely Bandar Lampung Bambu Kuning, Markets Teluk, and Market Way Halim. This research was conducted using a survey method with the sampling design. Samples were taken three replications from each market using purposive random sampling. The results showed that: (1) the moisture content of 81.28% jackfruit seeds, avocado seed 60.16%, and 45.95% durian seeds (2) The lipid content of crude oil in the avocado seed 11: 40%, 10 durian seeds, 98%, and jackfruit seeds 10: 25% (3) the protein content in seeds 11.70% jackfruit, durian 6: 56% of fruit seeds, and avocado seed 6: 52%.

This study was conducted in March—April 2021 at Farm 1 cage 5 PT. Sinar Ternak Sejahtera, Wonodadi Village, South Lampung Regency. Blood samples were analyzed at the Lampung Veterinary Center Laboratory, Bandar Lampung City. This study used 24 male broilers with a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments, namely ration without Azolla microphylla flour substitution (P0), ration with 2,5% Azolla microphylla flour substitution (P1), ration with 5% Azolla microphylla flour substitution (P2), ration with 7,5% Azolla microhpylla flour substitution (P3) and each treatment was repeated three times. The objectives of the present experiment were to ev aluate the effect of dietary cation-anion dif... more The objectives of the present experiment were to ev aluate the effect of dietary cation-anion differenc (DCAD) on mineral status in blood and urine. Ration s with DCAD value of -28, -18, 0, +14, and +32 mEq were offered to 15 ewes in a randomized complet e block design. On day 21, blood samples were taken anaerobically using heparinized syringes from the coccygeal jugular venipuncture. Each syringe was capped and placed on ice immediately following collection to determine on plasma Na, K, Cl, Ca, and P concentrations. The DCAD values had no effect on plasma Na, K, Cl, Ca, and P concentrations indicating that there was homeostasis to maintain t he physiological status of the body. The DCAD value of -18, 0, +14 and +32 mEq resulted in the no rmal blood with Na:K ratio closed to 20:1. Plasma Cl concentration was associated with plasma Na, but the concentration of Cl was lower than that of Na. Informasi tentang kandungan mineral dan pemanfaatannya belum banyak diketahui. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan mineral natrium (Na), kalium (K), klorida (Cl), dan sulfur (S) pada akar tua, akar muda, daun tua, daun muda, dan seluruh tanaman Salvinia molesta. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil. Peubah yang diamati adalah kandungan mineral Na, K, Cl, dan S. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan mineral Na dan K yang terdapat di semua bagian tanaman Salvinia molesta berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01), sedangkan kandungan mineral Cl pada bagian akar muda, akar tua, daun tua dan tanaman utuh berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Kandungan mineral S pada bagian daun muda, akar tua, daun tua dan tanaman utuh tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05).

The results showed that the addition of various kind levels of starter indicated significant effect (P<0.05) to moisture, very significant effect (P<0.01) to crude fat, but indicated not significant effect (P>0.05) to crude fiber and BETN of silage.

Selain itu, untuk mengetahui media tumbuh terbaik serta hubungan antara pH media dan suhu media. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada 3 Mei—12 Juni 2017 di Kandang Jurusan Peternakan dan Laboratorium Analisis Politeknik Negeri Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan media dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan media meliputi: R1 (ampas tahu), R2 (bungkil sawit), R3 (limbah ikan), dan R4 (darah ayam). Data penelitian yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam pada taraf 5% dan atau 1% serta uji lanjut dengan uji Duncan; untuk menganalisis hubungan antara rasio C/N media dan produksi maggot, serta suhu media dan pH media digunakan uji regresi. Four treatments with 3 replications were applied in a completely randomized design. The treatments were R0 = Basal diet; R1 = R0 + EM-4 4%; R2 = R0 + enriched EM-4 4%; and R3 = R0 + rumen fluid 4%. Results of the experiment showed that EM-4, enriched EM-4, and rumen fluid significantly affect the color, texture, pH, as well as the smell of the silage. The best quality of silage was achieved by using EM-4 4% and using rumen fluid 4% as starter in silage making. The purpose of this study was to determine the water content, protein, and fat in the avocado see... more The purpose of this study was to determine the water content, protein, and fat in the avocado seed jackfruit and durian obtained from traditional markets in Bandar Lampung. Materials used in this research are the seeds of avocado, jackfruit seeds, and seeds of durian. The material obtained from the three traditional markets, namely Bandar Lampung Bambu Kuning, Markets Teluk, and Market Way Halim. This research was conducted using a survey method with the sampling design. Samples were taken three replications from each market using purposive random sampling. The results showed that: (1) the moisture content of 81.28% jackfruit seeds, avocado seed 60.16%, and 45.95% durian seeds (2) The lipid content of crude oil in the avocado seed 11: 40%, 10 durian seeds, 98%, and jackfruit seeds 10: 25% (3) the protein content in seeds 11.70% jackfruit, durian 6: 56% of fruit seeds, and avocado seed 6: 52%.
