This paper seeks to examine how Heathcliff is portrayed as a Charming Anti-hero in Emily Bronte&#... more This paper seeks to examine how Heathcliff is portrayed as a Charming Anti-hero in Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. The focus on the Anti-hero is a departure from the prominence given to the hero in literature. This article explores the concept of the Anti-hero and how the character has been handled in works of literature. It also examines the evolution of the Anti-hero in works of literature and offers an explanation as to why he should be a significant literary figure to study.
