The aim of this paper is to shed light on novelties and altematives to listening activities, accessible via the intemet. Bu tur olaylar, kacinilmaz olarak kultur olgusunu on plana cikarir. Goc olgusu bircok yazar tara- findan ele alinmis ve eserlerinin ana temasi yapilmistir. Bu makalede, kucuk yasta goce taniklik etmis olan Zaza/Alevi asilli Hollandali yazar Murat Isik’in kaleme aldigi ve ailesinin gercek yasam oykusunden izler tasiyan Verloren Grond (Kayip Toprak) romaninda ic goc etmenlerini ne sekilde ele aldigi incelenmistir. Eserde bir koyden baska bir koye ve oradan da buyuk sehre goc eden Uslu ailesinin once zorunlu, sonra gonullu goc edisi, aile bireylerinin duygu, dusunce, umut ve hayal kirikliklari esliginde gundeme getirilir. Eser, goc kurami itme-cekme modeli ve goc uzerine olusturulan birtakim itici ve cekici etmenler araciligi ile irdelenir. Bireyler yasadiklari yerlerden belirli itici nedenlerden dolayi ayrilarak kendilerini cekici etmenlerin bekledigini dusundukleri yerlere giderler. Eserde en onemli itici etmen aile reisinin bacaginin kesilmesi ve buna karsilik ailenin ekonomik kurtulusu icin cekici etmen teskil eden kendi koyunde bulunan babadan kalma tarladir. Toprak olgusu insanoglu icin onemlidir cunku ata mirasidir, aidiyeti, kimligi ve ozgurlugu ifade eder. Ikinci onemli itici etmen deprem ise cekici etmen olarak buyuk sehre gitme fikrini dogurur. Goclerin ardindan farkli sosyal, kulturel ve psikolojik uyum sorunlari yasayan aile bireyleri kulturlenme sureciyle karsi karsiya kalir. Goc olgu- su Uslu ailesi icin ekonomik, kulturel ve toplumsal acidan onem tasir ve neticesin- de her bir birey icin olumlu ve olumsuz sonuclar dogurur.

As computers have become widespread in schools, homes and business, a need for language learning ... more As computers have become widespread in schools, homes and business, a need for language learning has become urgent and the necessity of computer literacy has become very obvious, language teachers have started to use new technologies as a new pedagogical tool in foreign language teaching. Introduction of new pedagogical tools does not reject, but includes programs and methods of the previous phase, representing inevitable innovation that gains acceptance slowly and unevenly. Multimedia computing, the Internet, and the World Wide Web have provided an incredible boost to Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) applications, offering a wide variety of educational, programs, resources, software, journals, organizations, software tutorials including all types of exercises for grammar drills, vocabulary, listening and pronunciation exercises, games, etc. After giving a general picture of CALL development, this article focuses on exploitation of the language resources and learning materials that are accessible on CD-ROMs and on the Internet, presents two CALL projects, and reports experiences in partner universities. In terms of theoretical approach, practice, computer and communication technology, CALL represents a challenge for the teacher and for students as a new medium of exploration. This paper is a result of joint work of the TEMPUS project 2002-2004 (http://www.foi.hr/znanstruc/ tempus/ index-eng.html), which aims to harmonize educational levels between countries in transition, like Croatia, and European universities. The specific project objective is to improve undergraduate curricula in the field of information science, economics and quantitative methods and to improve teaching materials, methods, laboratory and library facilities at the Universities of Zagreb, Rijeka and Osijek. Within this project the aim is to provide the students in the region with appropriate education which is targeted towards the fast changing needs in the IT and economic environment, to provide collaboration among Universities in the region and to take part in the European process of University education in cooperation with EU Universities.
