Research paper thumbnail of Longmu Co-Shuanghu plate suture and evolution records of paleo-Tethyan oceanic in Qiangtang area, Qinghai-Tibet plateau

Frontiers of Earth Science in China, 2007

Data show that the last two sutures have no essential elements of the northern boundary of Gondwana. This paper briefly introduces the facts of the existence of the paleo-Tethys Ocean in the Longmu Co-Shuanghu suture, i.e., the ages and natures of Early Paleozoic ophiolites, Permian ophiolites, Devonian-Permian radiolarian cherts, accretionary relics of different natures, two types of tectonic mélange zones and ophiolites. The starting time of paleo-Tethys Ocean in Qiangtang may be traced back to the Early Paleozoic and the records about the oceanic basin evolution lasted from the Late Devonian to Late Triassic. It is thought that the Longmu Co-Shuanghu suture was the site for the extinction of the paleo-Tethys Ocean on Qinghai-Tibet plateau and an important window for the reconstruction and inversion of the early-stage formation and evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, as well as the northern boundary of Gondwana wich the geoscience community has paid attention to in the past few decades.

Based on the optimized geometry at the B97-D/aug-cc-pVTZ level of theory including dispersion correction, the nature and the origin of N–H ··· π H-bond interactions were unveiled by atoms in molecules (AIM), natural bond orbital (NBO), and energy decomposition analysis (EDA). Among them, the AIM analysis gives evidence to the presence of N–H ··· π H-bond interactions, the NBO examination reveals that π → σ* donor-acceptor orbital interaction is of great importance. EDA study indicates that N–H ··· π interactions are governed by the electrostatic and dispersion term. Meanwhile, MD simulation with OPLS-AA (optimized potentials for liquid simulations all-atom) was applied to study the pure liquid pyrrole at different temperature. The results confirm the existence of the N–H ··· π H-bond in the pure liquid pyrrole, and further characterized the structures of this H-bond which is somewhat different to the clusters.

The cells were pleomorphic and flat. In static liquid medium, cells floated to the surface. Strain RO5-8 T stained Gram-negative and colonies were pink-pigmented. It was able to grow at 30-50 6C (optimum 40 6C), at 2.6-4.3 M NaCl (optimum 3.1 M NaCl), at 0.03-0.5 M MgCl 2 (optimum 0.03 M MgCl 2 ) and at pH 5.5-7.5 (optimum pH 6.0-6.5). Cells lysed in distilled water and the minimal NaCl concentration to prevent cell lysis was 12 % (w/v). The major polar lipids of strain RO5-8 T were phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol phosphate methyl ester, phosphatidylglycerol sulfate and one major glycolipid chromatographically identical to the sulfated mannosyl glucosyl diether S-DGD-1. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, strain RO5-8 T was closely related to three strains of Haloplanus natans with similarities of 97.3-97.6 %. The DNA G+C content of strain RO5-8 T was 62.1 mol%. The DNA-DNA hybridization value between strain RO5-8 T and Haloplanus natans JCM 14081 T was 51.6 %. It was concluded that strain RO5-8 T represents a novel species of the genus Haloplanus, for which the name Haloplanus vescus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is RO5-8 T (5CGMCC 1.8712 T 5JCM 16055 T ).

The intra prediction mode information is taken into account in the interpolation filter design. For each intra prediction mode, an optimal Wiener filter is trained based on the representative video sequences. Therefore the trained filter is adaptive to the intra prediction mode. Furthermore, the quantization parameter is also explored as context information for filter selection. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method achieves better performance than the traditional methods such as Bicubic, Bilinear, LAZA and NEDI, while keeping low computational complexity.

The results show that there is an optimum porosity of 0.32 to get a higher efficiency and lower pressure drop during filtration. According to the results of simulation and experiment, it is evident that lower inlet velocity can maintain lower pressure drop and obtain higher collection efficiency and inlet concentration also has a crucial influence on the collection efficiency. The collection efficiency of equipment increases significantly with the increase of inlet concentration when the inlet concentration is less than 6.3 g/m 3 , but it gradually tends to be stable in the range of 97.3% 99.7% when the inlet concentration is over this concentration.

This paper presents a secondorder analysis of such dual systems, in which closed-form solutions are derived for the lateral flexural and shear displacements, as well as for the bending moments and shear forces in the two structures. The buckling of the dual system is also investigated. It is found that the total buckling load is a simple summation of the buckling loads of the two component structures when they act independently, and that it is independent of the distribution of the vertical loads amongst the two structures. A simple formula for the amplification factors is proposed for use in routine design. The second-order theory developed in this paper is used to investigate the amplification factors for the lateral displacements and bending moments in a typical shear-flexural structure. It is shown that the amplification factors determined from the proposed formula are in good agreement with those obtained by the more rigorous second-order analysis in most cases. It is also found that the various amplification factors are independent of the distribution of the vertical loads among the two structures.
