Here we present the complete catalogue of 50 X-ray sources with PSPC fluxes (0.5-2 keV) above 5.5x10-15erg/cm2/s. (1 data file).

The faintest limiting flux of the survey is analyzed. Detailed simulations show that confusion effects and other selection biases are relatively small and can be corrected for in the sample. From an analysis in the Lockman field, a best fit slope of approximately 1.8 is found for the extrapolation of the differential X-ray counts below 2.5 times 10 to the power of minus 15 erg/sq cm s. On the basis of this analysis an upper limit o...

The catalogs contains a total of 1887 unique sources detected in at least one band with likelihood parameter detml>10. The survey, which shows unprecedented homogeneity, has a flux limit of ~1.7x10-15erg/cm2/s, ~9.3x10-15erg/cm2/s and 1.3x10-14erg/cm2/s over 90% of the area (1.92deg2^) in the 0.5-2keV, 2-10keV and 5-10keV energy band, respectively. We report the Chandra discovery of the first heavily obscured QSO candidate in the early universe, hosted by a close (≈5 kpc) galaxy pair at z = 6.515. One of the members is an optically classified type-1 QSO, PSO167–13. The companion galaxy was first detected as a [C II] emitter by Atacama large millimeter array (ALMA). An X-ray source is significantly (P = 0.9996) detected by Chandra in the 2–5 keV band, with < 1.14 net counts in the 0.5–2 keV band, although the current positional uncertainty does not allow a conclusive association with either PSO167–13 or its companion galaxy.
