Muhammed Tâhir el-Haseni en-Nedvi, yasayan degerli hadis âlimlerinden, Islâm mutefekkiri ve davetcilerinden birisi olup, Sevgili Peygamberimizin neslinden olup seyittir. Turkiye’de de cok iyi bilinen es-Seyyid Ebu’l-Hasen en-Nedvi’nin erkek kardesinin kizinin ogludur. Hindistan’in Leknev sehrinde dunyaya gelmis olup, Nedvetu’l-Ulemâ Cemiyeti’nin Dâru’l-Ulum Medresesi’nde tahsil gordukten sonra, yuksek lisans ve doktorasini Riyad’da Abdulfettah Ebu Gudde Hoca Efendi’nin danismanliginda ikmâl etmis bir hadis âlimidir. Hadis, tefsir ve Islâm daveti ile ilgili yayinlanmis Arapca ve Urduca eserleri vardir. Annesinin amcasi olan es-Seyyid Ebu’l-Hasen en-Nedvi’nin Urduca yayinladigi bazi eserlerini de Arapcaya cevirmistir. Şu anda Hindistan’in Leknev (Lucknow) sehrinde Imâm Ahmed b. The aim of this study is to understand how students accept an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) i... more The aim of this study is to understand how students accept an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) in terms of the Technology Acceptance Model. For this study, a web-based intelligent tutoring system was used by 38 university students for four weeks. Fifteen randomly selected students participated in two semi-structured focus group interviews which were transcribed and coded. Results showed that 64.12%, of the students perceived the system to be useful, 14.50% perceived ease of use, and 21.37%, reported an intention to use the instruction system. Among the most frequently reported features of usefulness of the ITS were the repeatability of course materials, effective and permanent learning, the flexibility in time and place of learning, and increased learning performance. While not many students found the system 'fun,' they still frequently reported the intention to use it. Student remarks on the perceived ease of use were less common than those on its perceived usefulness and intention to use. However, the lack of complaints about system usability could mean that they found it sufficient to mention that it was easy to learn and use.

The ITS developed by Arıcı and Karacı (2013) was adapted for instruction on electronic spreadsheet software, and an experimental study was conducted with 80 undergraduate students. The experimental design involved quantitative research using a pre-and post-tests with a control group. The control and experimental groups consisted of 42 and 38 students, respectively. To measure academic achievement and retention, the researchers developed an achievement test that consisted of 27 questions. After a four-week implementation period, students that used the ITS showed higher levels of academic achievement than the control group. However, the ITS did not significantly influence retention levels.

Particularly, the fact that production and distribution of goods and services are not satisfactory today; has both contributed to development of logistics within the supply chain by creating a value chain throughout the channel and introduced its aspect which supports regional development in economic sense. Logistics today, stands before us as the most important weapon of competitive advantage; and all investments made almost in all areas of logistics, aid regional development in micro scale and national development in macro scale. In the context of economic impact, the effect of logistics on GDP is significant. Logistics, in the same way, effects development and improvement of education, health and all other development related issues in its region through investments and improvements. In this study, firstly regional development is defined then the goals of regional development and the role and effects of logistics in regional development are presented.

Polonya ve Türkiye, uluslararası raporlara göre, dünyanın en gelişen 30 ülkesi arasında yer almak... more Polonya ve Türkiye, uluslararası raporlara göre, dünyanın en gelişen 30 ülkesi arasında yer almaktadır (Türkiye 9.; Polonya ise 19.sırada). Milli gelirde Polonya AB'nin en büyük 6. ve en fazla yabancı yatırımı çeken (Almanya'dan sonra) 2. ekonomisi iken, Türkiye ise dünyanın 17. büyük ekonomisidir. Polonya ile Türkiye arasında kurulan diplomatik ilişkilerin 600. yıldönümü (2014) nedeniyle yapılan bu çalışmada iki ülke şu üç açıdan değerlendirilmektedir: (1) Polonya ve Türkiye arasında tarihsel planda ve günümüzde birçok iktisadi temas (yatırım, dış ticaret ve turizm, vb.) alanı ve halen yürürlükte olan 12 tane iktisadi antlaşma bulunmaktadır. Örneğin, Gümrük Birliği, 6 milyar dolar civarındaki ticaret hacmini arttırmaya devam etmektedir. Son küresel mali kriz iki ülke arasındaki ilişkilerin istikrarını bozmamıştır. (2) Bazı küresel göstergelere göre iki ülkenin gelişmişlik düzeyi farklılık göstermektedir. Örneğin, her iki ülke yolsuzluk endeksi (CPI) bakımından 176 ülke arasında "orta temiz" (2012) ve özgürlük endeksi (IEF) bakımından "orta özgür" (2013) sayılırken; insani gelişme endeksi (HDI) bakımından Polonya "çok yüksek gelişmiş", Türkiye ise "yüksek gelişmiş ülkeler" grubunda (2013) yer almıştır. (3) Ayrıca iki ülke birbirlerine olan tarihsel yakınlıktan dolayı benzer transatlantik eğilimlere de sahiptir. Örneğin her iki ülkede, AB yerine ABD'nin küresel liderliği daha fazla benimsenmektedir.

We analyzed the effects of heat treatment on the chemical structure of wood from narrow-leafed As... more We analyzed the effects of heat treatment on the chemical structure of wood from narrow-leafed Ash (Fraxinus angustifolia), a fast-growing and economically valuable species. We also analyzed the effects of heat treatment on the wood's resistance to four decay fungi. Narrow-leafed Ash wood samples were heated with saturated steam to 140, 180, 200, and 220°C for 2, 4, and 6 h. The relative contents of extractable components were analyzed, as well as the levels of holocellulose, cellulose, and lignin. In addition, the density, equilibrium moisture content, and pH of the samples were measured. To determine the effects of heat treatment on resistance to decay fungi, the samples were exposed to the white rot fungus Trametes versicolor, dry rot fungus Serpula lacrymans, and the brown rot fungi Coniophora puteana and Gloeophyllum trabeum. Changes in the chemical composition of the wood due to heat treatment were correlated with increased resistance to fungal decay. While the hemicellulose content was dramatically reduced with increasing temperature and treatment duration, the lignin content increased proportionately. Thus, heat treatment is an environmentally friendly method of preserving narrow-leafed Ash wood against various decay fungi.

A cloud point extraction (CPE) method has been developed for the pre-concentration and simultaneo... more A cloud point extraction (CPE) method has been developed for the pre-concentration and simultaneous determination of lead [Pb(II)] and tin [Sn(II)] using Acridine Orange as complexing reagent and mediated by nonionic surfactant (Triton X-114) by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The main factors affecting analytical performance of CPE have been investigated in detail. The extracted surfactant-rich phase was diluted with (1.0 mol L-1) nitric acid in methanol, prior to subjecting FAAS. The calibration graphs obtained from Pb(II) and Sn(II) were linear in the concentration ranges of 5-1,000 and 10-5,000 lg L-1 with detection limits of 1.40 and 2.86 lg L-1 , respectively. The relative standard deviations for 10 replicates containing 25 lg L-1 of Pb(II) and Sn(II) were 2.15 and 2.50 %, respectively. The analytical procedure was verified by the analysis of the standard reference materials NWTMDA-61.2 (water-trace elements) and NIST SRM 1548a (typical diet). The developed method has been applied to the simultaneous determination of total Pb and Sn in canned food samples including juices, tomato paste, corn, and green pea.
