Formal dissolution of customary marriage is surging in popularity, relevance and attraction. This is largely attributable to the fact that it now provides recorded evidence of divorce on obtaining a certified true copy of the record of the Court.

The transfer of petroleum technology is a concept that is not entirely new but has been constantl... more The transfer of petroleum technology is a concept that is not entirely new but has been constantly rearing its head because of the ever on-going debate as to the possibility of achieving a real transfer of petroleum technology. Most literature on technology transfer no matter the central theme delves into the challenges and constraints of effecting a real transfer of technology. Because of ever on-going change in our society different challenges pop-up at one time or the other and this is what makes the literature on transfer of petroleum technology always looking anew. 2.2. Definition and Examination of the Transfer of Petroleum Technology in Nigeria Professor (Mrs.) Nasir noted that "Much has been said about technology and its place in the development of a country. This makes the definition of technology a difficult task and it is not common that different people talk about technology and transfer of technology under different understandings and different points of view, depending on their own fields of activity." 1 Also in the view of Professor (Mrs.) Nasir the meaning of transfer of technology is also subject to different interpretations 2 .
