Between 20-50% of patient may be asymptomatic. One of predisposing factor of candidiasis is immunocompromised condition due to malignancy. Dysphagia is the most frequently presented feature of esophageal carcinoma. Maize is one of important agricultural commodity which can be used for food and feed. However, th... more Maize is one of important agricultural commodity which can be used for food and feed. However, the marketing of this commodity still inefisient. The purpose of this research is to analyze marketing efficiency of maize of West Nusa Tenggara Province via marketing channel, market structure, market behavior, market performance and marketing strategy. Sampling was conducted by simple random sampling and the number of sample used is 30 people. The method used is SCP analysis that consists of margin, price-share, market integration and marketing mix. The result shows marketing inefficiency presence, where 48.66 percent of farmers use second channel, to sell directly to wholesalers. Market structure tendency is oligopsony, where the wholesalers influence price. The margin distribution among the three channels are differs. The purpose of this paper is to assess whether the national program on beef self sufficiency coul... more The purpose of this paper is to assess whether the national program on beef self sufficiency could be achieved at 2014. A dynamic system model with Vensim computer program is applied. The model validated by Mean Absolute Percentage Error. The results shows high accuracies of the model. The assessment show that, first, the beef self sufficiency would not be achieved at 2014 if the program are treated and running as usual (Scenario I). Second, the beef self sufficiency would be achieved at 2015 if government increase the cow population by reducing the slaughter of local cows and expanding the cross breeding program through artificial insemination (Scenario II). Third, the beef self sufficiency would not be achieved at 2014 if the actual beef consumption are higher than the supply that produce through Scenario II (Scenario III). Another innovative solution for increasing local cow population is needed.

Domestic milk production is currently only able to meet 20% of the total domestic demand of milk,... more Domestic milk production is currently only able to meet 20% of the total domestic demand of milk, but this opportunity has not been responded well by dairy farmers. The objectives of this study were: (1) to analyze the performance of dairy farmers and (2) to analyze the impact of external factors (concentrate feed and milk prices) and internal factor (marginal productivity of concentrate feed) on production, income, and household welfare of dairy farmers. The number of sample households was 97 cooperative-member farmers and 46 cooperative-nonmember farmers in Lembang, West Java. The analytical method used included descriptive analysis and household economic models in the form of simultaneous equations. The results of the study showed that the scale of small-scale business with the percentage of lactating cattle and dairy farmers' productivity was still low. When the price of concentrate feed rises, the impact of the policy of increasing milk prices is greater than the increase in the marginal productivity of concentrate feed on increasing business income and household welfare of dairy farmers.

Most of the dairy cow farmers in Indonesia are members of the dairy cooperative who receive loan ... more Most of the dairy cow farmers in Indonesia are members of the dairy cooperative who receive loan facilities for dairy cattle production and feed concentrates to be useful for increasing the productivity of dairy cows and milk as well as to increase national milk production. The purpose of this study was to identify the business of dairy farmers, and analyze the impact of loans for dairy cattle production facilities on production, income and household well-being of dairy farmers. The analytical method consisted of descriptive analysis and household economic model of dairy farmers in the form of simultaneous equations with sample households of 97 member farmers and 46 non-member farmers in Lembang, West Java. The results of the study show that the age of the farmer is in a productive age with a long experience of farming so that the opportunity for formal education is limited. The scale of ownership of small dairy cows with a low percentage of lactation cows resulting in low milk productivity. Ownership of dairy cattle influences the dairy cattle loan and the price of feed concentrate affects the loan of feed concentrate input. The impact of the cooperative giving loans on dairy cows is greater than giving loans on feed concentrates on increasing the income of dairy cow business and dairy farmer's household well-being.
