The nano‐composites had a BNNT loading of up to 35.4 vol.%. TGA results showed that nano‐composites have good thermal stability up to 900°C in air. BNNTs in nano‐composites survived in an oxidizing environment up to 900°C, revealing that nano‐composites can be used for high temperature applications. Thermal conductivity of PDC reinforced with 35.4 vol.% BNNT was measured as 4.123 W/(m·K) at room temperature, which is a 2100 % increase compared to that of pristine PDC. The thermal conductivity value increases with the increase of BNNT content. A thermal conductivity percolation phenomenon appeared when the BNNT content increased to 36 ± 5 vol.%. The results of this study showed that BNNTs could effectively improve the thermal conductivity of PDC materials. BNNT reinforced PDC could be used as thermal structural materials in a harsh ...

The ceramic nanocomposite thin film has good flexibility, thermal conductivity and high temperature tolerance. The polymer composite substrate is a carbon fiber reinforced bismaleimide composite that is widely used in aerospace and automotive industries. Finite element analysis (FEA) is used to investigate the maximum survival temperature with different thicknesses of the ceramic nanocomposite. The resultant hybrid composite shows good structural integrity and displays a pull-off bonding strength up to 8.3 MPa. In addition, thermal study illustrates that such a flexible CNT reinforced ceramic composite can effectively protect CFRP in an elevated temperature environment by delaying transient thermal conduction.

In addition, incorporating a wide variety of students’ values and beliefs, designing instructional strategies and including varied assessments adds to the difficulty. Journal entries or response notebooks can highlight reflection upon others’ viewpoints, class readings, and additional materials. These are useful across all educational levels in deep learning and comprehension strategies assessments. Journaling meshes with transformative learning constructs, allowing for critical self-reflection essential to transformation. Qualitative analysis of journals in a death and dying class reveals three transformative themes: awareness of others, questioning, and comfort. Students’ journal entries demonstrate transformative learning via communication with others through increased knowledge/exposure to others experiences and comparing/contrasting others’ per...
