The initial gel permeation step was carried out in the presence of phosphate ions (0.5 M). Ion pair reagents were required to resolve the strongly basic peptides, secapin, mast cell degranulating (MCD-) peptide and apamin, by reversed-phase (RP) HPLC. Using this relatively simple procedure it is possible to isolate these peptides essentially free of melittin (less than 1 in 10(7)) and phospholipase (less than 1 in 10(5] in high yield. The CD spectrum and secondary structure analysis are reported for MCD-peptide and on this basis a solution structure is proposed for this toxin.

Our paper tries to examine this new development from the perspective of regional shift-share analysis that covers the period of 2005-2007. For that purpose, we compile several data which is subdivided into three different sub-periods, aims at analysing the performance of ECER economy vis-à-vis national economy. The ECER regions GDP data are accordingly collected by its major sectors sourced from the EPU and respective state's EPU which is expressed in its real value by using the GDP deflator. The results revealed that to investors the ECER regions is unattractive locationally, and its advantage in agriculture, manufacturing, and construction sectors is improved because of structural change at the national level. As an alternative, this study offers a few policy recommendations for investment plans in promising lucrative returns to production and business sectors.

The Parameters which are considered for the evaluation performance are Additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN),Rayleigh propagation fading channel and the Code sequence .length. The evaluation of DS-WCDMA was derived for different type of digital modulation using Mat lab simulation link. The results were obtained in terms of bit error rates(BER)in graphical form.

Also, there exist claims with revealing prove exposing Malaysia's incapability in coming out of this lock-in. With the challenge to prove otherwise, this paper tries to shed some light on whether the NKEA as one part of the NEM could transform the already rapid growing economy into a high income advance economy as desired and aspired by many. Since the NEM covers a broader dimensions covering inclusiveness and sustainability to meet developed nation criteria, in pursuant to be more focus and objective, the heart of this paper rest on high income achievement. Initially, we compared several human development indices to gauge the present inclusiveness and sustainability of the country. Subsequently, we employ the input-output-based methodology supported by the latest Malaysian Input-Output Tables 2005, to estimate linkages and multipliers as basic tools to uncover the strength and magnitude of the Malaysian economy's transformation. We found some inclusiveness indicators illustrate considerable signs of a developed nation, however, great challenges will still have to be faced under sustainability dimension, probably compromised by favouring more towards high income per capita. Further, prospective growth in income is comparatively easier to achieve than sustainability since there exist huge potential in pursuing best practices from developed countries in terms of technology and productivity that could enhanced economic development in paving the way through trajectory transformation, but at what price.

Since improvement in productivity can determine how well an input performed, our main interest rests on whether there exists any discrepancy between the performance of domestic and imported intermediate input. To undertake such an analysis, we employed various publications of the Malaysian Input-Output Tables. The input-output coefficients of domestic and imported inputs were then simulated by using the commodity technology model. It was anticipated that three main findings could be obtained from this study. Firstly, non resourcesbased industries have shown that both inputs have a higher improvement in productivity compared to resources-based industries. Secondly, this study revealed that resource-based industries have improved productivity relatively in the imported input used compared to...

In particular, the production of agriculture, manufacturing, services and several other sectors portray significant energy utilization in their inter industry relationship. We focus our study on the effect of an energy price increase on interconnectedness and integration of the East Asia (EA) region's economy with emphasis on food industries. It draws together findings from selected EA countries in three different approaches. These approaches mainly employs an input-output (I-O)-based methodology with the latest extended version to examine the effect of rising energy prices onto food and non-food sectors' energy intensity, sectoral performance as well as retail price. We find that developed EA countries had demonstrated consistent performance having lower energy intensity, higher generating capacity and resilient to price changes in times of higher energy prices. Based on these findings, the East Asian Summit is hopeful to deliberate on closing their gaps by increasing interconnectedness and integration under the framework of gradual and systematic energy market reform. This will enhance activities in stimulating energy efficiency, output generating capacity and firmer energy market to price volatility especially in developing EA countries. Regional governments can also adopt sectoral energy investment plans to bolster economic growth and consumption of more efficient and cleaner fuels.
