Research paper thumbnail of Assessment of the Multi-GNSS PPP Performance Using Precise Products from the Wuhan Analysis Centre

Proceedings of conference GIS Ostrava 2021 Advances in Localization and Navigation, 2021

Within this study, three different versions of precise products provided by the analytical centre of the Wuhan University were evaluated by processing various combinations of GNSS systems constellations over a five months long period in 2020 with RTKLIB software. The results show that final and rapid version of the precise products could offer a centimetre level of positioning accuracy in static daily PPP while the ultra-rapid version utilizing 24 hours of predicted products performed significantly worse. In this regard, a positive effect on positioning accuracy was reached when including Galileo signals in processing of the ultrarapid version product. When studying coordinate's repeatability over the selected time period, the best results were obtained for a combination of GPS and GLONASS signals.

Landslide monitoring data analysis indicates the deformation characteristics of landslides and helps to reduce the threat of landslide disasters. There are monitoring methods that enable efficient acquisition of real-time data to facilitate comprehensive research on landslides. However, it is challenging to analyze large amounts of monitoring data with problems like missing data and outlier data during data collection and transfer. These problems also hinder practical analysis and determination concerning the uncertain monitoring data. This work analyzes and processes the deformation characteristics of a rainfall-induced rotational landslide based on exploratory data analysis techniques. First, we found that the moving average denoising method is better than the polynomial fitting method for the repair and fitting of monitoring data. Besides, the exploratory data analysis of the Gl...

And while the methods of [1] can be used to compute the inner inverses of any matrix, it has not been proved that these sequences converge (in norm) to a fixed inner inverse of the matrix. In this paper, it is proved that the sequences indeed are convergent to a fixed inner inverse of the matrix which is the Moore-Penrose inverse of the matrix. The convergence proof of these sequences is given by fundamental matrix calculus, and numerical experiments show that the third-order iterations are as good as the second-order iterations.

This system aims in facilitating simulation and application of crop models for different purposes. Individual models each include six submodels for simulating phasic development, organ formation, biomass production, yield and quality formation, soil-crop water relations, and nutrient (N, P, K) balance. The implemented system can be used for evaluating individual and comprehensive management strategies based on the results of crop growth simulation under various environments and different genotypes. A Stand-alone version (GMDSSCMA) was established under the platforms VC++ and VB by adopting the characteristics of object-oriented and component-based software and with the effective integration and coupling of the growth-prediction and decision-making functions. A web-based system (GMDSSCMW) was further developed on a .net platform using C# language. These GMDSSCM systems have been used to predict dynamically crop growth and to make decisions regarding to management systems. This tool should be helpful for construction and application of informational and digital farming systems.

According to the characteristics of mountain highway and Hall model, this paper formalizes traffic states based on the average vehicle speed. Though applying ordered logistic regression approach to specify the factors affecting traffic flow, a high accurate prediction model was established.

In order to demonstrate the feasibilities of the novel accelerator, a prototype cavity was designed and constructed. Correspondingly, a code SFRFQCODEV1.0 was developed specially for cavity design and beam dynamics

The fan, mainly formed during Late Miocene (Huangliu period) has an area over 10000 km 2 and maximum thickness of over 2000 m. It is characterized by a wedge-shaped oblique progradation configuration on the dip profile and a hummocky bidirectional progradation configuration on the strike profile. The core and Logging data from the well YC35-1-2 located in the front side of the fan indicate that sandy gravity flow deposits are predominant in lower Huangliu Formation and change to interbeds of sand and mud in upper Huangliu Formation. The fan is interpreted as a sand/mud-rich submarine fan in combination with the bathyal geological background of Huangliu period. A preliminary analysis of provenance indicates that neither the Guiren Uplift in the west nor the Hainan Uplift in the north can serve as the major provenance for the submarine fan. The provenance is considered to be from the Red River, based on the sedimentary facies study of the Huangliu Formation in Yinggehai basin. The fan is thus named as "Red River submarine fan". The Red River depositional system consists of the Red River submarine fan, the Red River delta, and associated submarine canyons. The discovery of the Red River submarine fan provides important information for the research of the uplift of Tibetan Plateau and the evolvement of Red River Fault Zone. Furthermore, it also points out a new direction for the deepwater hydrocarbon exploration in the northern South China Sea.

Research paper thumbnail of Correlation between a single nucleotide polymorphism (G/T at nt –88) in the Mx1 gene promoter and the response to interferon therapy for hepatitis C virus in Egyptian patients

Mx1 gene was found to have a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) at position-88 in the promotor region that affect the expression of Mx 1 protein and was suggested to be associated with the response of HCV. In this study, we assessed the relation between the SNP in the Mx1 gene and the responsiveness of Egyptian HCV patients to pegylated interferon and ribavirin treatment along with other host-related and virus-related predictors of treatment outcome. We genotyped the biallelic G/T SNP in the promoter region of Mx1 gene at position-88 from the transcription start site by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) in 42 interferon treatment-naïve Egyptian patients that were treated with pegylated interferon and ribavirin. We found that Mx1 nt-88 SNP is not significantly correlated to achieving sustained virological response (SVR) after pegylated interferon alpha and ribavirin combined treatment. We conclude that Mx1 gene polymorphism at codon nt-88 cannot be considered as biological marker to potentially identify responders and non-responders of HCV patients to achieve a sustained virological response to treatment with interferon (IFN) in combination with ribavirin.
