The production of several volatile substances like Geosmin responsible of the characteristic wet ... more The production of several volatile substances like Geosmin responsible of the characteristic wet earth odor distributed in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, especially in soil. Members of this group are produce clinically useful antitumor drugs such as Anthracyclines, Antimetabolites, Arzinophilin, Mitomycins and Vancomycins. DNA cleavage by topoisomerase I or II inhibition , Mitochondria permeabilization inhibition and inhibiting tumor-induced angiogenesis. Isolation , Purification of Actinobacter from different sources and Determination of biological activities (Antimicrobial / Anti-tumor). Optimization of production media (natural and synthetic) of the promising bioactive compounds (Antimicrobial / Anti-tumor). Finally, Determination of the anti-tumor activity of the bioactive compound (s) of Actinobacter against different tumors.

Actinomyces are one of the major group of the actinomycetes , they are important in soil biodegra... more Actinomyces are one of the major group of the actinomycetes , they are important in soil biodegradation by the recycling of nutrients associated with polymers such as keratin, lignocelluloses and chitin , produce several volatile substances and exhibit diverse physiological and metabolic properties , such as the production of extracellular enzymes. Many of these secondary metabolites are potent antibiotics, which has made Streptomycetes the primary antibiotic organisms exploited by the pharmaceutical industry. Members of this group are producers, in addition of clinically useful antitumor drugs such as vancomycins, peptides , aureolic acids , enedynes and antimetabolites and they exert antitumor activity by inducing apoptosis through DNA , inhibition of key enzymes involved in signal transduction like proteases or cellular metabolism and in some cases by inhibiting tumor induced angiogenesis. Detection of radio activity of the most potent actinomyces, optimization of production media of the promising bioactive compounds. Determination of the antitumor activity of the bioactive compounds of Actinomycetes against different tumors.

Fruits are usually graded according to their quality. The purpose of the grading is to grad fruit... more Fruits are usually graded according to their quality. The purpose of the grading is to grad fruit into uniform categories (according to size, shape, weight, color and ripening stage). So fruit can be classified to different grades according to the requirements of the market. Due to the lack of the small grading machinery for small farms and the high prices of large grading machinery, this study aimed to designing, manufacturing and performance evaluating of a prototype for orange grading based on the dimensions of the fruit, which take place without physical contact. The prototype uses different successively operating components, such as phototransistors and actuators, each performing a specific task. The operating principle depend on the phototransistor, signal gathering circuit a processing circuit and output circuit for distributing unit. When it works, the system receives digital signals produced by fruits that shadow the light from a phototransistor sensor during fruit measuring. These digital signals processed by an electronic circuit and the fruit's sizing level are deduced. Then, the system will output switch signals to open the sorting switches according to fruits' size. Testing of the grading prototype results was statistically factorial in completely randomized design, featuring three control factors (conveyor chain velocity, sphericity percentage of fruit and stopping time) and three performance evaluation parameters (grading efficiency, damage percentage and productivity). The result showed that the best degree of grading efficiency obtained with the best degree of damage percentage were at 0.15m/s chain velocity and 1.5 sec Stopping time. The best obtained values of grading efficiency were (92.2%) with (7.1%) damage fruit. The energy required was 160.2 Watt/h.

Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu pendekatan persuasive dengan tahapan-tahapan pelaksanaan yaitu (1) melakukan pendekatan persuasive kepada masyarakat sebagai kader posyandu, (2) Penyuluhan kesehatan/ceranah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, tanya jawab, dan simulasi, (3) pemeriksaan fisik (4) serta pencatatan dan pelaporan hasil pemeriksaan isik kesehatan masyarakat lanjut usia. Di kelurahan Cimuning baru terbentuk 8 Posyandu Lansia dari 26 RW yang ada, sehingga perlu dibentuk lagi posyandu lansia pada RW yang belum memiliki posyandu lansia. Dengan demikian Program Kerja Sama Mitra (PKM) dalam pengabdian masyarakat menawarkan solusi antara lain dengan pelatihan dan pendampingan kader posyandu lansia.
