It is a zone that offers an opportunity for enhancing the energy efficiency. This paper presents a lighting design for energy efficient buildings. The present state of the lighting technology, energy-saving, and advanced smart lighting systems, as well as potential advancements through integration of visible light, has been discussed. A Simulink model with the Fuzzy tool in MATLAB of an energy efficient lighting system based on a fuzzy rule to generate light of appropriate illuminance in a room considering thermal comfort and visual comfort has been highlighted. An intelligent lighting control integrates with an automated window blind control. A Simulink model has been designed for a smart lighting system for indoor using Fuzzy logic taking into account the room temperature and outdoor light as inputs for Blind control and LED average voltage control.
