These techniques are applied to the quantum correlations of four spin one-half particles in their singlet states. Multipartite quantized systems can be partitioned, and their observables grouped and redefined into condensed correlations. PACS numbers: 03.67.Hk,03.65.Ud

We then identify candidates for dual type IIA compactifications on Calabi-Yau threefolds and compare the heterotic results with the corresponding topological string amplitudes. We find that the dual Calabi-Yau geometries are K3K3K3 fibrations that are also genus one fibered with three-sections. Moreover, we show that the intersection form on the polarization lattice of the K3K3K3 fibration has to be three times the intersection form on the Narain lattice Gamma1,1\Gamma^{1,1}Gamma1,1.

We use the string duality between CHL orbifolds of heterotic string theory on K3 × T 2 and type IIA string theory on CY 3 manifolds to explicitly show this connection. We then work out two concrete examples where we exactly match the expansion coefficients on both sides of the duality.

We study the elliptic genera for Calabi-Yau manifolds of larger dimensions and discuss potential connections between the expansion coefficients of these elliptic genera and sporadic groups. While the Calabi-Yau 3-fold case is rather uninteresting, the elliptic genera of certain Calabi-Yau d-folds for d > 3 have expansions that could potentially arise from underlying sporadic symmetry groups. We explore such potential connections by calculating twined elliptic genera for a large number of Calabi-Yau 5-folds that are hypersurfaces in weighted projected spaces, for a toroidal orbifold and two Gepner models.

Two such simplifications proved to be useful in studying string theory. These are the pp-wave limit which describes point-like strings and the so called "near flat space" limit which connects two different sectors of string theory-pp-waves and "giant magnons". Recently another example of AdS/CFT duality emerged-AdS 4 /CF T 3 , which suggests duality between N = 6 CS theory and superstring theory on AdS 4 × CP 3. In this paper we study the "near flat space" limit of strings on the AdS 4 × CP 3 background and discuss possible applications of the reduced theory.

We extend this analysis to the case of AdS5 × T 1,1 , and examine the suggested procedure for the case of several simple string solutions. By making use of AdS/CFT duality, we derive the relevant correlation functions of operators belonging to the dual gauge theory.
